I had Olan Mills in NH and the exact same horse, It wasn’t supposed to rock, Did you ever see William Holden on the hobby horse in the original Audrey Hepburn movie SABRINA? He was on the hobby horse as a child, so when they took a photo of the grownup sons, he was back on the hobby horse, quite funny! Now that my guys are 24 and 23, I think it’s time to go back to Olan Mills and recreate the magic! Then I can send something to this site!
I worked for Olan Mills forever. They STILL have these awful horses. The worst pose is the one above. The danger possibility is SO high!!! They had outdoor backgrounds, why would anyone want these on the grey background? lol
Anyway, it brought back some nice and horrible memories…lol
Just love this photo – especially the caption! Could not stop laughing. Well done!!
It seems that neither of them rock.
It’s awkward ‘cos they ain’t going anywhere! Lol
You people just don’t get it; the TITLE of the photo is funny!
I got it. But the Horse on right wouldn’t rock either.. hehe
This picture is adorable! Cutest “awkward” family photo EVER.
They may not rock, but they’ll roll as soon as Granddad remembers to put the wheels on.
Neither does the one on the right.
Sorry, everyone else was saying it so I thought i would too.
…and still I laughed!
The little boy on the left seems aware that these Olan Mills props are a little lame.
To me, this is nothing more than a sweet picture of two cute little boys. I think the horse prop is a fun way to get kids to smile. I don’t blame the photography studio for not having a “rocker” feature on the horses; as all you need is a 2 yr old going head first somewhere.
I think this is one of those pictures that shouldn’t be in “AFP” as much as it should be in CUTE family Photos.
Right on.
No, but both of those little boys are rocking this photo!
Our two horses are made of wood.
We’d rock them if only we could.
So we’ll sit for this shot,
‘Cause cuteness we’ve got.
And we’ll ride off like real cowboys should!
Tim; you are quite talented! I think I read another one of your poems earlier this week. Keep ‘em coming!
I actually don’t think there’s anything awkward about this photo.
Neither does the horse on the right.
The horse on THEIR left doesn’t rock either … but it might serve as a sled.
neither does the one on the right!
I don’t think the one on the right rocks either- unless the carpet pile is hiding the curve
Pretty sure that neither horse can rock. Nothing awkward about this photo. These little fellers are adorable!
Neither does the one on the right.
And they both know it! —Although the one on the right doesn’t look like it would rock very well.
Talk about the least awkward photo of all time!
I think you’d have to ride the one on the right pretty hard to get it to rock as well!
Guess what… the horse on the right does not either. What cute little boys!
The horse on the right doesn’t rock either…other than the very front, the base is flat.
But I think the photo is cute.
Neither does the one on the right.
