Behind The Awkwardness: The Hangover
February 15th, 2013
“I was a rebellious kid growing up. The night before this photo– I had stayed out late and had been drinking. When my mother saw me, she made us all wear sunglasses to hide the fact that I was so hungover.”

Wow, when I first saw this photo I thought that it was implying the young girl in the photo was the one drinking the night before. I thought the two standing were the parents until I looked a little closer and realized it was a teenage boy standing next to his mom.
Did you go to high school in Miami? No seriously, I know I’ve seen you. Please understand, everyone, people this blonde tend to stand out in SoFla. If you went to Palmetto, then yeah. I remember you. Kinda. Not your name. LOL.
I love this picture it makes me laugh, your Mum looks totally like Molly Ringwald…and she’s “pretty in pink”
I was just thinking that the guy looks like a blonde Duckie.
Lady Gaga at 12.
You all look so righteous, lol!
I’m the blonde boy in the tragic rayon shirt, my friend Ryan is the one that submitted the pic but isn’t in it.
My mom would’ve made me take it as I was.
Interesting solution. My mother would have rescheduled the photo shoot.
I loved this one! Your mom was super creative…. & funny. Or maybe you just looked really bad! I loved your sister’s (or mom’s; not sure which) crooked sunglasses. I hope that your kids don’t pull the same kind of things…but if they do, well hopefully you’ll be creative too. PS..my brothers once were caught spitting at one another. My mom, also creative, made them each sit in a separate corner alone, & spit into a tin pan. It was amazing how dry their mouths became.
Mom and two kids wearing shades.
Went to the studio on their rollerblades
Ryan’s eyes were really glazed,
But they wanted to look unfazed,
to avoid their mother’s tirades.
That’s funny that she made your older brother and sister wear them too.
awesome comment, Ben!
lol
Are you the one in the middle then?
The 80s were so flashy, you still need sunglasses to see them.
