“As a professional photographer, I always hoped never to take a photo that would be fit for this site. So much for hope.”

Sorry, this is not awkward. It is awesome.
At least is isn’t the new trend of the bridesmaids tucking the dress in their underwear to show thier butt cheeks in the picture. That is tacky. This is just silly!
I can’t get past how over exposed this photo is… 🙁
I like it. The thing about wedding photos is there will be hundreds of them, hopefully something to please everyone. I think with the well-placed flowers it’s a fun shot. It doesn’t need to be taken so seriously and they probably have plenty of other serious shots they can enjoy. I only shoot the occasional wedding but always try to get some whimsical shots of some kind in there for balance.
Yikes! I see too much more than I want to.
I see Paris, I see…..
Criss Cross says Jump!
I love this photo! Such expressions of glee and fun! Much better that all those regimented lined up by height, formal poses where nobody knows quite how to smile. THIS is the photo they will look back on in 20+ years and smile all over again. I always try to get a jumping shot whenever I do weddings, families or individual portraits.
Have taken a few like this because it was requested…I bet this is one of the bride’s favourite pics though LOL
I hate wedding photographers. Mine was told at least a dozen times not to ask me if I wanted a father/daughter dance. My dad had just died. He basically ruined the wedding. I’m going to go give him another bad review on Yelp.
why would you come to this page to whine about your ruined wedding?
because this was a trigger. She’s grieving. Give her a break.
As a pro wedding photographer, I hate this trend too. I never do this shot, but if I ever do, I hope it turns out as cringe-worthy and awkward as this 😀
That girl got some height!
How about demanding a recreation, say, 20 years later, heehee 🙂
My wedding photographer made us do this almost 20 years ago. It looked awful. I may still have the picture.
*I just spit my coffee* lmao
Guess which one will catch the bouquet?
Looks like spring is in full bloom.
Wedding picture or Cirque du Soleil performance? Either way I’m sure everyone had a great time!
Yeah, the jumping photo is not suited to all dresses or body styles. Can’t go wrong with the looking up at the photographer in a tree when dealing with more corpulenet models (it makes their faces look slimmer), or the walking toward the photographer while arm in arm while chatting and giggling with each other. Putting a bouquet in one’s crotch is never suited to any occasion, dress, or body style.
The point is that the picture is funny. Thanks for trying to ruin that Debby Downer.
But I absolutely love the one next to her in red dress. With her hand up waving, she really does look as if she is taking off in flight 🙂
I was in my brother’s wedding last spring. I am 32, the rest of the girls were 25 and wanted to do a jumping picture. Luckily, I had just had a baby via c-section so I quickly put a stop to that. Seriously, who wants to jump up in the air wearing a strapless, short dress? I hate this trend.
I also agree. As a photographer, I only make kids jump during shoots when theyre with other kids and playing. Besides, you can jump easily on the cement in most wedding shoes and the heels get caught in the ground on the “lawn”. Male photographers USUALLY have no experience in that. Not everyone lands like angels on clouds. lol
Oh, no she didn’t!
What a bunch of pose-ys.
I think instead of “cheese”, the photographer said “leap frog”!
Let’s all take a moment and be thankful for the well-placed bouquet.
That was my first thought…
Haha my thoughts exactly
In your defense, it was her choice to assume the Leap Frog position while in a dress.
