Hooked On A Feeling - Couples

“These are some relatives somewhere on my father’s side of the family. My husband and I found this while sorting through tons of pictures from my grandparents’ house and thought it was hilarious, as did all the friends we shared it with.”

    Photoshopped !

  2. Whitese7en says:

Sorry Carrie but the men are right, it’s def a Catalina either 69 or 70. My vote is for 1970; I’ve got the same car in a convertible in my garage and the lines are identical.

  3. Dave says:

    It’s a 1969 Catalina

  4. Carrie says:

    Chevy Caprice to be exact…

  5. Carrie M says:

That is NOT a Ford or Pontiac! It’s a 1966 or 1967 Chevrolet!!

    • Rick James says:

Wrong honey. Those are Pontiac hub caps. My dad had nothing but Pontiacs in the 60s and 70s (wish I had every one of them today). I know those hub caps like the back of my hand. I spent enough time washing them.

Weird. I sign my name CarrieM too, but I didn’t post that, because I don’t know diddly squat about cars. Guess I’ll have to change my screen name…..

It looks like it could have the makings of a great parody of Grant Wood’s “American Gothic”.

As soon as I read “Hooked on a Feeling” and saw the pic, I was “busting” up! ha ha ha

  8. Sean says:

Regardless of the make and model of the car it sure is sweet. What also is funny about this is that it’s a picture of a man grabbing a woman’s breast and most of the comments are about the car in the background. Either our society is impervious to such things or we really like(and miss)cool cars. I can’t “grasp” which one though.

  9. Chrissy says:

I REALLY don’t care about the car (it’s pretty cool, though…), but I absolutely adore this picture. It remind me of my grandparents. If not in looks, than in spirit, hahahaha!

  10. Joe says:

I vote Ford Mercury Comet (my dad – who actually looked like the man in the picture) had one just like it.

  11. Steve says:

Jon P, you’re right about not being the 50s, but that’s not an LTD. It’s a Pontiac circa late 60s early 70s. A Catalina, I believe.

  12. Jon P says:

Thats NOT the 50’s! That LTD there is early 70’s.

  13. Chris says:

I love your site but I don’t get this pic… it’s kind of a mean thing to say, no?
