Thank You For Not Smoking - Family Portrait

“My dad had a last minute idea to add a prop to our family photo.  He saw the photographer had cigarettes and decided that everyone in the photo should have one.  I am the red head bottom right with my eyes rolled up.”

When I say the sister is smoking it could be either of 2 things

We have to take this in the context it was taken! Then, even if we knew smoking wasn’t good, it wasn’t that politically uncorrect to show up with a cigarette! I remember when smoking was allowed, even in hospitale, back in 1992, I have in mind one occasion when I visited a cousin who had just delivered her baby, so many people were smoking in the corridors, near the maternity wing! The person who posted this photo wanted to show how things were in that time, don’t try to make this a scandal!
