Clue - Co-Workers & Teams

“This is the owner of the company I work for. We are lucky enough to have a full kitchen in the office. One day I heard the garbage disposal going for what seemed like a long time. So I went in to check and this is what I found. I have no idea what she was trying to shove into the disposal, but whatever it was she needed a broom handle and her hand.”

Where is Frances McDormand when you need her?

I actually love it when the owner gets down and dirty with everyone else. Rather than delegating dirty tasks to the employees.

    2 explanations:

    1. If the disposal is not working, it was jammed; use a broom handle to unjam it; circumstantial evidence of cause of the jam: avocado without a pit on counter.

    2. If the disposal is working (and the setup says it was): the owner wanted to retrieve the avocado pit (knowing it can’t be ground up and flushed away), and insert a broom handle to keep the blades of the disposal from engaging while her hand was inside.

Wow, that’s a harsh employee exit policy – does she get a bonus if there are no residual stains on the granite countertop?

  5. Linda B says:

In her defense if your garbage disposal jams you can use a broom handle to turn it in reverse and release what is stuck. Granted they give you a fancy little wrench to do that, but who can find that when you need it.

    bad wig…..

  7. Frank says:

The disposal was jammed. I’ve used this technique before. Turn on the disposal and use the broom handle to turn the cutting blade until it starts turning.

Messy little divorce? Solved. That’s why she’s the boss!

  9. LM Stewart says:

It was an avocado pit, but I see why you’d wonder.

Now we know why nobody ever saw Jim from accounting again. 😉
