Squeezebox

Squeezebox - Behind The Awkwardness

“This picture was taken in a photo booth that was quite small. We all tried our best to fit..well…this was the end result!! It has been one of our most treasured family portraits for years!!”

Scarecrows

Scarecrows - Babies

“I was barely a month old and my parents my parents decided my first ‘outing’ should be a trip to the local mall. Not only were those mall scarecrows scarier than anything I’ve ever seen in a horror movie, I was doomed to live a life as a NY jets fan.”

Sister Act

Sister Act - Behind The Awkwardness

“I caught this photo just as my oldest daughter gave an extremely forced, bared-teeth smile, and just before she almost dropped her new baby sister. Whom she loves very much, really.”

Chop Chop

Chop Chop - Behind The Awkwardness

“I have no idea why my sweet mawmaw is yielding that axe with such mirth, or why my granddaddy is dressed like a lumberjack…but there you go.”

Le Resistance

Le Resistance - Behind The Awkwardness

“I’m a photographer and was taking pictures for a beautiful family, but their littlest member was not a fan. Multiple times, he told me no as I asked him to smile and in this picture he just refused to even sit with his family. What we ended up with is a gorgeous family portrait with little Jack admiring from afar likely telling me no in protest of our photo shoot.”

Butt Seriously

Butt Seriously - Behind The Awkwardness

“I was at a party at a hotel and I sat on a toilet in the ladies’ room that had been smeared with super-glue, and I got stuck! The firemen had to bring me through the ballroom with the seat still attached to my behind. “Mortified” would be putting it mildly! One creepy guy ran alongside me the whole way, until my friend Kelly finally said, “Hey, buddy, can you see from there?!” and he slunk away.”
