Christmas

Merry Christmas, Dad

“It was a typical 80’s Christmas morning. Dad must’ve been on Mrs. Claus’s nice list. I’m probably freaking out at my sister who is off camera.”

Reindeer Games

“I don’t think my Mum paid attention to the sweater she got me for Christmas.”

Yappy Holidays

“We were taking our family Christmas photo, and let’s just say the dogs weren’t in a Holly Jolly mood. This photo was the worst of the batch, but now it’s a conversation starter. We keep it right by the entrance of our home here in St. Louis.”

Gravestone Preparedness

“Has to be one of the most cringeworthy Christmas cards I’ve ever seen.  That is my parents in front of THEIR OWN gravestones they purchased this year…At least they are prepared!”

Merry Punkmas

“This is my boyfriend as an angry teen, with his parents, who seem to be taking his punk phase in stride. (Well, his Mom at least.)”

I Fought The Fan And The Fan Won

“Papa got his ass kicked by a ceiling fan and his son has a decent bruise on his nose. Sister hams it up on the side.”

Electric Slide

“For Christmas, Dad gave me a hand-painted adult diaper. Unfortunately, I knew what had to happen next. This is our 25 year recreation.”

Three Cats And A Bunny

“Listen, there’s nothing easy about holding three cats and a bunny all the same time. That little bunny, whose name is Arthur, is a big trouble-maker. He likes to bite on those cats when he gets a chance to. But those cats love him anyway. The cats involved are Madjka, Chachka and Pagliacci. I should explain, Christmas was coming and I wanted a picture with my my fur babies. (I work at a photography studio.)”

“But those fur babies were not on their best behavior. I seem to recall that Arthur, that little devil, nibbled at Pagliacci first and then all hell broke loose. Cat and bunny hair flying all around that photo studio. Now, remember this is where I worked. The cats went to running, the bunny went to hopping, and I was just beside myself. Thank goodness it was a Sunday and we were closed. Our display pictures were flying everywhere.”

Practical Christmas

“Christmas when I was 11. The disappointment on my face after getting the same shirt I’m already wearing.”
