Bear Hug

Bear Hug - Recreations

“Our father was an avid sportsman. Every summer he would travel deep into Canada with a group of guys to hunt and fish. In 1989 he brought home this black bear and had it turned into a rug.  My brother and I were thrown on it for the first classic picture.  My father passed away four years later and the rug (along with his other animal mounts) still grace our log cabin living room. I decided to recapture the moment as adults and we gave it to our mother as a Christmas gift. She, along with the rest of the family, got a kick out of it. Some people have asked if we are wearing clothes in the adult picture..we are close as brothers but not that close!”

Snowman With Feet

Snowman With Feet - Kids

“My four year old daughter made ‘a snowman with feet’ today at school. Her teachers were laughing when they told me that she was the only one to make her snowman with feet. Needless to say, we will be laminating and keeping it!”

A Family Tradition

A Family Tradition - Behind The Awkwardness

“Every year my mom thinks of a theme and has my siblings dress up to go see Santa. This year was mischievous elves. My parents started doing foster care when I was in 3rd grade, that’s why there’s more kids in a couple pics. I think I was in 5th grade when my mom started the themes with Santa. She would have us go to the Santa in the Mall, which was extremely embarrassing some years, but now looking back its definitely one of my favorite memories. Once you turn 18 or move out, you don’t have to do it. The most recent on is of my brothers.”

This Robe

This Robe - Kids

“My parents brought me this house coat (as big as a house) after a trip they went on. I loved that thing. Wore it constantly… which explains my very few friends.”
