“Circa 1997 when my brother got a job as a clown. I’ve always been terrified of clowns and I suppose this is why.”

“When I got married back in ’95, I invited some ladies from work. Apparently, catching the bouquet meant a lot to them.”

“The year was 1976– the bicentennial of our country. Our Father wanted to celebrate. So he had my sister and I dress up as if we were Civil War soldiers. We proudly (yet embarrassingly) marched around the block where we lived. But that wasn’t enough.. oh no.. my father had us march around Ben Franklin (the store) and other shops in the plaza like TG&Y and Publix. Looking back 38 years later, I realize its nice to share memories like this one so the world can see just how much we were willing to do for our country!”

“The picture on the left was taken my first day of kindergarten in Clyde, Ohio. To make a unique invitation to my 40th Birthday Party, I tried to recreate this picture. It was remarkably easy to find a house that looked almost exactly the same even though I now live thousands of miles away. The only thing missing was getting my little brother to pose inside the door . . . but the homeowner wouldn’t answer the doorbell and so we shot this one quickly without permission.”

“This photo is of me and my son who just turned 11. He was born at home and the midwives stashed his placenta in our freezer. As the years went on, I couldn’t just throw it out or leave it somewhere – I made it! So after 11 years, we bought a blueberry bush and I had him bury it under there. He was thrilled. My dad dug the hole and the cat was trying to steal the placenta.”
