“My son, daughter, and I went to a community day event in Jamestown, Virginia, where we won this gift basket in a raffle. The organizers wanted to take some publicity pics with us, and of course my daughter was being a stinker and threw a fit. Only my son and I sat for them. My Many Fashion Mistakes
“This was me in 8th grade, in ’92 or ’93. I don’t know what is worse: the perm, the ribbon, the tucked-in shirt that no sensible middle schooler would ever wear, the black shoes with white socks, the way-too-obvious black watch, the ’97 for my graduating year or the fact that I was trying to look cool.
