Project Makeover: Kid Edition

“That time my Mum took me to get a ‘makeover.’ She’s English so my best guess is she was trying to recreate what Queen Elizabeth looked like as a child as some sort of ‘homage’ to her country. I have no idea.”

Frowny The Clown

“Every year my mom’s bowling league celebrates Halloween. If my mom looks a little scary in this it’s because this photo is one of several my dad insisted she pose for before leaving. Mom is not amused. I think she’s had just about enough.”

Land Of Cowpportunity

“On July 19th, 2000 we emigrated from the Netherlands to live with our family in Michigan to start a new life. In the Netherlands we milked 70 cows, but in Michigan we were living on a farm with 249 cows. More future for the boys that way. This was a nice calm cow.”

The Future Serial Killer

“My daughter’s school assignment asked her to come up with her own superhero identity. She was more interested in being a supervillain.”

The Fabio Hoax

“Our daughter met Fabio at a Whole Foods when he was promoting his line of protein drinks.  She asked for a photo and he was more than happy to oblige.  We sent this photo out to friends and family with ‘Our Future Son-in-Law’ in the subject box, and nothing else, because, it’s Fabio. Who doesn’t know who he is?  Surprisingly, more people than we thought as we started receiving cautious congratulations…”

Autumn Camouflage

“Mom made me this costume for my second Halloween in ’92 – Dad almost misplaced me in an actual leaf pile.”

A Tale Of Two Kindergarteners

“Kindergarten orientation. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.”

Kickballers

“Our kickball team won the championship and we were celebrating with some champagne. Once all the photos were uploaded later that day… I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t somewhat proud of myself.”

Cracker Jerk

“My father was supposed to take my sister and I to get our pictures made. I am supposed to have on a matching jacket like my sister’s. He left it in the car and rather then admit he flubbed, he just told the photographer to let the picture roll. That is why I have my picture professionally made in a Cracker Jerk Tshirt. That and our mullettude makes this photo very awkward!”
