Terrible Twos

“Some family members decided it’d be great to get a bunch of kids together for a group portrait for the grandparents. The entire idea ticked off my barely two-year-old to no end, and for whatever idiotic reason we thought we could cheer her up by taking some portraits of just her with an oversized “two”–she’s always been a little model for the camera. She actually started with a smile but as soon as the photographer went to snap the picture she just a meltdown. The photographer immediately went to erase the digital image but I yelled “NO, I WANT THAT ONE!” The result was what I’ve always coined “pretty much the ultimate portrayal of a two year old.” You have to love the gleam of the tear coming down the face.

My daughter is 9 years old now and I still have an 8×10 of it displayed in the house. She thinks it’s the greatest picture in the world.”
