Halloween Table

Halloween Table - Halloween

“My mother is the most wonderfully creative woman I know. And usually, that’s a great thing. Unless she’s making me be a table for Halloween. She was so excited for this costume, you wouldn’t believe. She glued a real loaf of bread to it. She cut out pictures if food from magazines and glued them to paper plates. It rained that year so while we Trick-or-Treated, my sweet little sister took shelter under the thing all night. The costume was a hit though!”

Locked In

Locked In - Kids

“I had a third-grade class assignment to illustrate a problem and a solution. My bratty four-year-old sister was my biggest issue at the time. Since I couldn’t give her to another family I decided locking her in her room would be the next best thing. I can’t believe the teacher gave me a red smiley face.”

Get Out And Get Lucky

Get Out And Get Lucky - Mom

“My hometown newspaper did a front page article about me. I had recently received notice I had 5 nature photos in our state conservation calendar. The author interviewed my husband and me. She asked me for a tip to get good nature photos. I said get out there. The more you are out the more you see. My husband commented that people said I was lucky but the harder I work the luckier I am. That became the headline ” Get out there and get lucky”. My girls loved it and had t-shirts made.”
