Good Time Girls

“Is that a name for a 7-8 year old softball team, or a gentleman’s club?”

Cheeto Snowman

“We decided to be creative and decorate our snowman with food coloring. The snow did not roll well into balls so we had to pack the snow instead. We were so excited to get it colored that we didn’t realize that shape it had taken until after we stepped back to see the finished product!”

Done With It

“This the last photo from our one and only professional photo shoot with my mom’s side of the family. I have no idea why my grandfather is completely turned around or why my mom and I are lifting up my dress.”

A Cut Above

“This picture of my family was taken in 1975. I am in the back, smiling with glasses.  No one noticed my youngest brother, Steven, had brought a knife as a prop. Love dad’s bushy sideburns. Love the dated wall paper in our breakfast nook.”

My Lego Valentine

“Fourth grade me was shocked a Lego Valentine’s Day box at school didn’t get you all the girls.”

Birthday Blues

“My 7th birthday in 1982. My mother wanted to take a nice picture of me with my cake but my hair was all static-y and I got mad and would not let her brush it.  So, she took this picture of me pouting over my cake, messy hair and all.”

Play To Win

“Well, don’t say you want a Lego tower-building tournament if you can’t handle losing.”

Story Time

“While on vacation and staying in a hotel, my father decided to pick up a little light reading. Clearly I was interested in the articles.”

Making Faces

“Yeah! The first photo, I’m the one making the ridiculous face. Those were for the church directory and the photographer kept saying: everyone smile now! And I kept making silly faces. My mom was so mad when she saw them! This one was the most normal of the bunch.”
