Into The Woods

“We were going for the perfect family photo. Our son had other ideas.”

Pose-pourri

“The Sears portrait photographer couldn’t figure out how to get the families to stand/sit cohesively, so she came up with this pose with me sitting on my husband’s back, trying to get our oldest son to look and smile at the camera. My husband was annoyed, my father-in-law (standing) was done with the photo session & this became our family photo of 2009.”

Masterpiece

“My parents took us to the Masters back in the 80s. It was such a momentous occasion my dad paid for this picture and had it framed. Hint: I’m wearing purple.”

Stiff Arm

“This year’s loving photo with my 2.5-year-old and 15-month-old twins. Big brother likes reminding them who is boss.”

The Wedding Wardrobe Malfunction

“This was me and my brother at our aunt’s wedding. His pants were too big for him, but we thought he’d be okay. Of course, his pants came down at the altar.”

In Your Grill

“This photo is of my brother in 1985. My parents loved posing us in weird and awkward places.”

The Money Shot

“This is a picture of my older brother, Timmy, circa 1994 (around the time Richie Rich came out in theaters). Everything about this picture screams early nineties. And what makes this photo so great is not the modest pile of dollar bills at his feet. This photo is priceless because my mom calls it, ‘The Money Shot.’ My mom may be the real highlight of the story.”
