Street Hoker

“On the first day of third grade my son’s class made a ‘family web’ of what makes them who they are. We are a sporty family, but rather than putting ‘street hockey’, (which we play together), he wrote ‘street hoker.’ Yikes.”

Fashion Downward

“Me, my sister, our dad and our grandma on a hike and wearing painfully 90s-era clothes. Dad thought he could hold both of us for the photo opp. GOOD JOB, DAD.”

Monumental Disappointment

“Since my husband was on an extended temporary¬†duty assignment¬†in the D.C. area in late 2013, we jumped into homeschooling and took advantage of all the historical sights to see. After a six mile hike through the National Mall during the holidays, our last stop was to see Honest Abe. Our 7 and 9 year old boys were so thrilled to run up the steps, but when I told them to stand in front of Lincoln for a photo, you would have thought they just found out Santa wasn’t real.”

Pillow Zoo

“Took my daughter to the petting zoo. Or should I say, ‘pillow zoo.'”
