I Want A Cat

“A letter I wrote my parents in 2nd grade. Guess I really wanted that cat.”

Lollipop Lollipop

“11:15PM. I’m brushing my teeth before bed and I hear a strange noise coming from Aaliyah’s room. I open her door and turn on the light to see her run towards her bed, lay down and pretended she was sleeping. Meanwhile there were about 20 unwrapped lollipops (don’t know how she got the bag) laying around her room, and one still in her hand (as she lay there ‘sleeping’. It was the funniest thing I’ve ever seen. The fake sleeping with evidence in her hand was priceless.”

The Grinch

“This is a photo of me and my three older siblings. Such a nice photo, until you see me in the bottom left. That is not okay!”

Mother Of The Year Award

“Mother of the Year award. Not only is my daughter faceplanting in the back there, my son is standing on top of our broken gate. No one was hurt in this awkward family moment.”

Public Displays Of Affection

“During our holiday family photo shoot this year, we wanted to recreate a cute one we got last year when Tommy was just a baby. It didn’t quite turn out like we hoped it would…next time I guess mom should avoid sticking her nose in his eye.”

Dressed Down

“My husband and I were all dressed up and ready to attend the 240th USMC Birthday Ball in Washington, D.C., when our three year old decided he needed to be in EVERY pre-ball picture because he really wanted to go to the ball. Unfortunately, the only suit he had was his birthday suit. Although he did not get to go to the ball, he was so proud to have successfully crashed EVERY. SINGLE. PICTURE.”

Welcome To Arkansas

“During a road trip from Kansas to Florida in 1987, this was my standard pose for all state welcome signs. None more appropriate than Arkansas.”
