“I am the little girl who looks to be about 40 years old and that’s my brother on the right. My mother wanted our portraits done and we didn’t want to be anywhere near each other so she bribed us with candy bars to stand back to back like best buds. Oh yeah, and clad entirely in denim. Why did we all have those giant glasses in the 80′s? I look like Tootsie.”

Well, I must say that this here picture is quite the doozy. The only thing I would changed is more mullet. Btw, as soon as I saw this I pictured a young Dustin Hoffman. Very nice.
If only you knew how hard their poor mother worked to get them to do this picture….Wes was not on board and had to be bribed, Kristin caved for candy!
I am curious….what is their relationship like now? I have siblings. I am much closer to them as adults as I ever thought I would be when we were rolling around on the floor throttling each other over TV program choices!
Loved the picture, & loved the explanation. Your family must be a wonderful mix of all the best attribures to be able to submit this in & laugh at yourselves!
This is PERFECT!!!!
This is the best thing I have ever seen. I admire the foresight to bribe with candy bars and make this all happen.
Is it as funny for you since you probably remember us like this really well…you were probably like “Yup, that’s about right”.
I think it’s great that there is a place for this on the internet. I do remember. Good times.
hahaha! The icing on the cake is the olen mills logo!!!!
I was totally just thinking that, good eye Lynzie!
Fantastic. You guys should have had your own detective style tv show like Miami Vice meets Mr. Wizard.
Wiz Kidz. Wiz Kidz are on the case!
It’s funny you should say that Barbara, my brother & I have talked about recreating this picture. I would love to say we’re not so awkward anymore but….let’s just say it would make for a pretty hilarious picture. If my photo wins, we’ll recreate it & submit it for sure!
Zoom out from this pose and you’ll see they’re actually very tiny children, standing on their kitchen table, dwarfed by a carton of milk in the background, about to be poured by Small Wonder, the robot girl.
Yes you do look 40! And Tootsie-ish! This is priceless.
I love this so very much!!!! I am grinning huge.
You should recreate this photo – hysterical!
