Trust Them

October 2nd, 2010

“We took our 3 year old twins to Disneyland. As you can see by this photo, my husband and I had a blast, but it was not the happiest place on earth for them that day. The look of sheer terror in their eyes explains it all. Plus, “Snow White” threw a tantrum for an hour after the ride, because her dress got wet.”

“I insisted on having a nice ocean family photo. Our youngest, Maddie would not look at the camera. We kept urging her “Come on Maddie, look at the camera!” She was the only smart one who realized a HUGE was on it’s way! Our boy, Andrew has a very nifty green cast on his arm. Poor guy kept it out of the water all day…until the big wave.”

When Push Comes To Shove

October 2nd, 2010

“Imagine peacefully walking along a trail among the magnificent redwood trees in Muir Woods near San Francisco . . . Your two daughters run ahead but it’s such a peaceful area, you’re not at all concerned . . . then you turn a corner on the trail and there they are! My heart nearly stopped but now I could get on board a comfortable Virgin America flight and relax on the non stop from San Francisco to our home near Orlando.”

Disney Kids

“Our “official” Hoop De Doo photo session at Walt Disney World. Can you tell it was about 100 degrees with 100% humidity? The matching Disney shirts just add to the whole experience….”

Where The Buffalo Roam*

October 2nd, 2010

“This photo was taken in 1983 at Yellowstone National Park. My Dad is a little Adventurous or maybe just a little crazy. He said stand right here…then said back up a little. I asked a silly question….Do Buffalo attack? And of course my Dad said no….and laughed.”

Taj Mahal High

October 2nd, 2010

“Our family outings were launched from Saudi Arabia, and often included exotic locales. Like this place behind us, the Taj Mahal in Agra, India. That’s me, on the right. I loved my Brownie knee-highs, and loved to talk during photos. My sister is in the middle, staring off into the distance as she always did–she wore that Hulk shirt EVERYWHERE. My little brother obviously was too young to handle the responsibility of sock wearing, but I believe he was awkwardly donning a pair of authentic wooden shoes from a Holland trip. We travelled around the world SEVEN times. Too bad the majority of our photo albums are just as fashionless as this photo. I don’t brag too much about the places I’ve been only because I’m beyond awkward.”
