The Lone Ranger*
“While vacationing at a small resort area in Ecuador, my parents subjected me to this pose and picture. Circa 1963.”
Cup For Two*
“This is a shot of my brother and I as kids at Hershey Park in Hershey, PA. We have no idea who that man is.”
Tropic Thunder*
“Me (the youngest), my sister, and my mom, at the San Diego Zoo(I believe?). We’re all wearing the same length shorts – the only one they’re appropriate on?”
Florida, We Have A Problem
“This is a picture of my older sister and I at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Clearly, both of us are very excited to be there. I am the trendsetter in the ill-fitting pig T-shirt and teal shades and my sister is wearing my Mom’s giant sunglasses for some reason. Obviously, we’re protecting our eyes from the glare of our awesomeness.”
Lineup
“My entire extended family took a vacation together to Disneyland that year. That’s me, the huge giant on the right. I was in that awkward 13-year-old stage where your family is, like, the lamest thing ever. So to have to pose with all my “dumb” cousins for this “stupid” picture – in public no less! – was way more than my dignity could sustain. Although I have no idea why that should embarrass me so much, and yet I was perfectly comfortable being seen in public wearing those shorts. And those socks. And that fannypack, and that hat.”
