Taj Mahal High

« Back to Virgin America Awkward Family Vacation Contest

“Our family outings were launched from Saudi Arabia, and often included exotic locales. Like this place behind us, the Taj Mahal in Agra, India. That’s me, on the right. I loved my Brownie knee-highs, and loved to talk during photos. My sister is in the middle, staring off into the distance as she always did–she wore that Hulk shirt EVERYWHERE. My little brother obviously was too young to handle the responsibility of sock wearing, but I believe he was awkwardly donning a pair of authentic wooden shoes from a Holland trip. We travelled around the world SEVEN times. Too bad the majority of our photo albums are just as fashionless as this photo. I don’t brag too much about the places I’ve been only because I’m beyond awkward.”

It looks like you had the two younger ones tethered to you, or maybe the three of you are holding a snake? You had a fascinating childhood, becca. I bet your parents were free spirits who had more important things to bother about than what the kids were wearing.
