Father’s Day Disaster

“My great idea of giving a dad a surprise portrait of his wife and children didn’t go so well. Oldest son seems depressed and in an urgent need of a restroom.  Youngest son is trying to kill the photographer with his glare or is just ticked off about the awful clothes color combination. Middle son trying to give someone in the room the eye. Mother oblivious and thinks picture will be great.”

Backstage With Brunhilda

“From 2005. I had just concluded my mesmerizing performance as Brunhilda. Dad was going through his hair growing phase, which turned him into a hippie Benjamin Franklin. Mom was also going through a phase with her hair. And my sister was so excited to be at my 8th grade play that she couldn’t even keep her eyes open.”

Squeeze Play

“When we were in St. Martin, I saw a great opportunity to take a nice picture of my husband and son. Right as I snapped the picture my son pinched my husband in a “sensitive spot”….the result was unexpected, classic, and very awkward!”

Louder By The Dozen

“My sisters and I thought we’d get our kids together for a cute picture to give to our parents. This was the best picture we got because at least one kid was smiling, as oblivious as she was.”

Northern Exposure

“This is my family in the 90’s. We lived in Alaska at the time, so I guess my parents thought our relatives would like to see us like this.”
