Recreating The Awkwardness

“Olan Mills Portraits – then and now. Doesn’t everyone get their pictures taken at Olan Mills? My daughters surprised me with an amazing reenactment!  The detail is incredible!”

Employee Of The Month - Christmas

Employee Of The Month

“I delivered the local newspaper in the neighbourhood for a few years, and my dear mother called to inform them that I had never been selected as “carrier of the month”. The following month I got my chance and won this awesome 5″ black and white television which I received from the Circulation Manager. Not sure what is worse, my mother let me leave the house in my knit wool reindeer sweater or that his wife let him out of the house with that hair!”

Just the Facts - AFP Hall Of Fame

Just the Facts

“This is a photo of my sister (the murderer), my brother (the reporter), and my Dad (the victim). The way I’ve heard the story told, as I was still a few years from being born, they lived next to a reporter for the local news channel and one day, my dad decided it would be funny to stage this picture…complete with “blood stains” on his back. The back of the picture actually says, “Just the Facts, Ma’am, 8/01/75.”

Happy Boob Year! - Behind The Awkwardness

Happy Boob Year!

“Me (small guy in the center) and my family at my Uncle Dale’s house for New Years. My dad (on the far left) thought they said “Happy Boob Year!” My mom tells me she never drank, ever. Right.”

Nothing’s Permanent - Behind The Awkwardness

Nothing’s Permanent

“I was pushing my brother’s GI Joe jeep up the hill.  I was bent over, face down & pushing.  The jeep came out from under me & I smashed my face on the pavement.  To remedy the situation, my mom decided to give me a home perm.  Gotta’ love the busted up face with the 70’s wallpaper & home perm curlers.”

Giggle Belly - Behind The Awkwardness

Giggle Belly

“My family used to play Giggle Belly.  You start by laying with your head on someones stomach.  When everyone is in place the first person says ‘ha’, the person on their stomach says ‘ha, ha’ and so on.  I am in the teal sweater with the acid washed jeans and 1990’s glasses.”
