Alright, Alright, Alright

“My great-great-grandfather looks exactly like Matthew McConaughey with a mustache.”

Hanging Out

“My niece drew this at school. It looks like she and I are being hanged while her mum is watching. Her teacher called her mother in for a meeting; her mother had to explain we went to a high rope obstacle course on the weekend and the ropes were attached to harnesses. Never judge a book by its cover.”

30 Is The New 60

“Today was Mom’s 60th birthday. My brother and I got her a couple cakes. She found this even funnier than we did!”

Wedding Crashers

“I was going to take pictures of my brother proposing in a park, but they got in a wreck on the way there. So I took the pictures at the ER instead.”

Puberty Ruined Christmas: A Photo Essay

“My parents make my sister and me take a picture at the top of the stairs every Christmas morning, and these two were taken a few years apart.  The first picture is one of the last happy Christmas morning photos we have, which my parents titled “A Very Merry Pre-Pubescent Christmas To You.” The second photo shows what happened to our happy Christmases after we became teenagers. They claim puberty ruined Christmas.”

Direct Hit

“This family portrait was taken during a beach photo session. Yes, that is a frisbee flying towards my husband’s face. Fortunately, nobody was seriously injured in the process, and we DID end up using this picture on our Christmas card that year. It just pretty much sums up our family in a way no words can.”

Lederhosen On Ice

“This is a photo of my boyfriend’s cousin. He has been an amazing athlete in most winter sports from a very young age. In this photo he is about seven or eight. I don’t know who forced him to wear this outfit, but when I saw it a year ago at their house, I knew I had to send it to you guys. He gave me permission to post this, albeit begrudgingly.”

The Wedding Cameo

“My daughter (will be 6 in June) drew this for me for my 6th wedding anniversary this past February. While we have never hidden the fact from her that I was expecting on the day that we got married,  I never expected to have her make an appearance in the drawing!”
