For once and for all: llamas have large curvy “banana ears”, alpacas are shorter, and have smaller, straight-up ears. Their faces are usually furrier also.
They’re becoming so popular because they’re very inexpensive to keep and people make a TON of money off of their ‘fiber.’ They shave them like sheep, but it’s supposedly finer, softer, richer material for clothing then sheep’s wool. And it costs a lot more. Learn something every day, huh?

When we grew up, we only had 1 Llama, and it was in black and white.
