Sometimes, you just have to let go.

*no cats were harmed in the making of the awkwardness
People need to lighten up. I doubt an infant would be physically able to carry around a struggling cat in a choke hold. This photo was just taken at an awkward moment when the cat was squirming out of the child’s grasp. The people who are disturbed by this probably are young and haven’t been around babies enough to know better.
If you need a disclaimer that the animal was not harmed, the picture is beyond awkard. This is upsetting and disturbing.
No need to get all radical animal activist judging photos and situations you don’t know anything about.
Reminds me of my puppy’s traumatic origins. The 2 year old loved to carry her around by her neck, but knew it wasn’t allowed. So when the baby saw mom, he’s hurl my poor puppy to the ground!
umm, thats a nice story
Well, the kid was 2 so at least the puppy didn’t have far to fall.
I get all choked up when I see a cute picture like this! There’s nothing awkward about that choke-hold. That’s what you call natural talent!
That’s right … let the kid strangle the cat while you stand there and take a picture.
Ha ha! my 18 month old daughter looked at this picture and said.”Baby. Meow, OW!”
“I will name him George and I will hug him and pet him and squeeze him….”
Hope the cat’s still alive, unless this is a very old photo.
