I love Tonje’s hair! After seeing this video… I want to…. NAME MY DAUGHTER TONJE! Also, 2:44 epic key-change
Why be a crappy housewife when you can be a crappy singer/songwriter?
oh my, i can’t bear to watch this but it’s so bad that I have to!
i like how there are more lights than people at the “Disco”…….and Key Change! yikes.
I am Norweegian, and this makes me wanna go hide.
And Roman.. Yes, we do have an ironic sence of humor, but this is beyond.. Seariously..
I’m speechless. That was just “SPECIAL”
it’s the musical counterpart of the “real housewives” shows
This is really not *that* bad. I have certainly heard worse singers (myself included), and at least the girl is getting up there and giving it a go.
Further, from a feminist perspective she is being assertive, not just a toy for some misogynist blinged-up rapper. She is making a positive statement about her ideals and objectives. She is taking control and ownership of her own life.
The song itself is no better, no worse, than any everyday crap you hear on commercial radio. Of course the production values are… um… basic, but this is a home brew effort.
I have to admit, to me there was a faint echo of Deborah Harry in the singer’s thin, slightly whiny voice; certainly not a bad thing. The rap interlude also mirrored ‘Rapture’ to an extent.
I think there is also an element of parody here as well; Norwegians, in my experience, can have quite dead-pan and darkly ironic senses of humour.
All up, pleasantly (and intentionally) awkward; a courageous and not completely untalented amateur effort.
6.5/10
Rick Dees, is that you?
