Awkward Pose of the Week: The Lean

Warning: this fan favorite isn’t for the conservative family. This is a pose for the clan with sass, one that wants to convey, “Heads up!” “Coming at ya!, “In your face!” “Take a closer look,” and of course, “You rang?” Combine with two arm-fold-book-ends and you’ve got yourselves an album scorcher.

Having a crappy morning, found this site on one of the blogs I follow and I’m crying from laughing so hard. The pictures are funny enough on their own, but you add your little comments underneath. It’s too much to handle. I suggest this site when people are in a bad mood. Keep it up.
I don’t think they’re actually leaning. It looks like maybe the photographer was just very high up when he took the photo…but either way, it looks like awkward leaning.
If they weren’t smiling so much, it would probably look a lot more awkward. Their big smiles almost say “we’re so kooky we can make awkward poses work”
This is a great photo. Fun, creative, well posed, everyone looks good and looks happy.
This kind of gives me motion sickness if i look at it for too long.

I like this shot too, and I’m a photographer. I think it conveys that the family is different and fun. Not bad at all.
This isn’t a very bad one actually. It looks fun. I don’t know if I’d do it, but it’s the least awkward one I’ve seen so far.
I like this shot… uncanny how much the son looks like Dad and the daughter looks like Mum too!!

Sorry to educate but this isn’t a lean, this is merely a picture shot from a camera that is above and the camera is not shooting directly down. I know how y’all love the leans!

Maybe they’re not leaning at all. Maybe the photographer is very tall. Think about that for a while.

I like this picture – I think it looks interesting, they’re all smiling and actually look happy, not photo-faking the smiles, and I can’t see anything awkward about it. If my photographs came out half so well when I took a group shot, I’d be happy.
