The Lean - Family Portrait

Warning: this fan favorite isn’t for the conservative family. This is a pose for the clan with sass, one that wants to convey, “Heads up!” “Coming at ya!, “In your face!” “Take a closer look,” and of course, “You rang?” Combine with two arm-fold-book-ends and you’ve got yourselves an album scorcher.

  6. Will says:

What is this a F*R*I*E*N*D*S poster?

  7. 67Bandit says:

They are not leaning over. Photographer is on a ladder. We do that when we want to look down at someone’s low cut shirt! ; )
Family resemblance is awsome though! Gotta Love genes.

Having a crappy morning, found this site on one of the blogs I follow and I’m crying from laughing so hard. The pictures are funny enough on their own, but you add your little comments underneath. It’s too much to handle. I suggest this site when people are in a bad mood. Keep it up.

  9. loser078 says:

I don’t think they’re actually leaning. It looks like maybe the photographer was just very high up when he took the photo…but either way, it looks like awkward leaning.

If they weren’t smiling so much, it would probably look a lot more awkward. Their big smiles almost say “we’re so kooky we can make awkward poses work”

  10. ashley says:

This is a great photo. Fun, creative, well posed, everyone looks good and looks happy.

  11. hannah says:

This kind of gives me motion sickness if i look at it for too long.

  12. John says:

Wouldn’t be as funny without the “you rang?” comment. I laughed my pants off.

  13. Peter M says:

I like this shot too, and I’m a photographer. I think it conveys that the family is different and fun. Not bad at all.

  14. Crystal says:

This isn’t a very bad one actually. It looks fun. I don’t know if I’d do it, but it’s the least awkward one I’ve seen so far.

  15. RachieNZ says:

I like this shot… uncanny how much the son looks like Dad and the daughter looks like Mum too!!

  16. James says:

New to the schedule this fall, the wacky sitcom Come On I Lean, Thursdays at 8:30 E/P, 7:30 C only on NBC!

  17. Carol says:

very beautiful. i like that. :)

  18. Ashley says:

Ummm, this is ADORABLE! I like it.

  19. CLMass says:

    I need my dramamine!

  20. Kevin says:

Actually, I kinda like this one.

  21. Winnie says:

I saw those people before. That is not a Photograph. They were standing in the front yard of their house when google took pictures for Google Earth..I saw them in a fly over

  22. shmo says:

oh those zany Pembertons! its a sitcom waiting to happen!

  23. Angie says:

“I’m a little teapot short and stout. Here is my handle here is my spout. When I get all steamed up then I shout TIP ME OVER AND POUR ME OUT!

Oh, uh, excuse me…you didn’t just take a picture of that did you? Geez…”

  24. karen says:

Sorry to educate but this isn’t a lean, this is merely a picture shot from a camera that is above and the camera is not shooting directly down. I know how y’all love the leans!

  25. fotofiend says:

this pic was definately taken from above (no lean necessary), you can tell from the way the son is standing…still hilarious though!!!

  26. GasMoney says:

do i spot a braided belt?!

  27. rug says:

Maybe they’re not leaning at all. Maybe the photographer is very tall. Think about that for a while.

  28. Kelly says:

I actually like this one. They all look really happy and fun. The photographer just took it from a bad angle.

  29. Thomass says:

This pic is making me dizzy…

  30. Theo says:

I’m pretty sure The Dazz Band ripped off this photo for an album cover. Olan Mills FTW!

  31. Bob says:

this looks like a CBS sitcom ad

  32. Mandlnpickr says:

I say the photographer is totally to blame here. What was HE thinking??? Sometimes, we families need to draw the line….

  33. Aggie says:

Could the Mom and Daughter’s mouths BE more alike?

  34. Fee Berry says:

I like this picture – I think it looks interesting, they’re all smiling and actually look happy, not photo-faking the smiles, and I can’t see anything awkward about it. If my photographs came out half so well when I took a group shot, I’d be happy.

  35. stringbean says:

oh look, and now they break out in song and dance!

  36. Rosie says:

What’ll we dooo, babay, without u-u-us…. sha la la laaa!

  37. mudhooks says:

No one noticed that the photographer was arranging them all so he could get a shot of Mom’s cleavage.

  38. arbi says:

    Yep. I’m into the son.

  39. GAY MAN says:

    Son is H-O-T.

  40. sugarshakes says:

I am laughing SO hard at your description. The family with Sass…

  41. Sara says:

it looks like one of those corny sitcom photos…wow.

  42. Rick says:

Didn’t know they took group realtor photos. Guess this is proof they do.

  43. Laura says:

Maybe they all have back problems and this was the most comfortable pose.

  44. Drone says:

The Dad must be adopted, he has no looks.
The son looks like Hayden Christensen in Shattered Glass.
Mom and daughter look the same tho I give the daughter the nod in looks.

  45. Nobody says:

This photo looks like something out of a Christopher Guest movie…

  46. Walt says:

sears portrait studio really pulled out all the stops on this one

  47. Walt says:

no one on the corner has swagger like us.

  48. Rafe says:

I kind of want this family to adopt me.

  49. Bingo says:

    silver fox alert.
