Hassled By The Hoff

“I got to meet the Hoff at our local radio station in the early 80’s. I don’t look too impressed.”

Seeing Is Believing

“This miraculous photo is of my darling dear mother, in the 80’s, with what is obviously a cutout of the great Thomas Sullivan Magnum. The best part of this photo is the glasses, but, the second best part is the fact that my mom refuses to admit that it is a cutout.”

The New Kid

“Donnie Wahlberg awkwardly feeding me a pickle from his cheeseburger. I actually did not know who the New Kids on the Block were. My dad worked on cruise ships and I always went with him. He made me go up there for this picture and I was terrified of them, of course I am now thrilled to have this picture.”

Blowing Up

“Our Cub Scout troop attended a Montreal Expos’ game at the Olympic Stadium, probably around 1980. Before the game they had us take our picture with former players during an ‘old-timers’ picture event. Montreal was more of a hockey town, so I couldn’t tell you who these guys were. I guess I was just happy to have my new inflatable friend, albeit facing the wrong direction. My wife refers to this as my first experience with a blow up doll.”

Thriller

“It was just your typical church directory picture from Olan Mills, until my son went to art school, enlarged it and superimposed Michael Jackson into it. This was featured it in a school-wide Mother’s Day show with the title ‘My mother dated Michael Jackson.'”

Chappelle’s Show

“He announced ‘I’m photobombing your photo,’ and then did so. I won’t argue with Dave Chappelle.”
