I know the girl in this photo, and her mom decided that this photo needed to go on their fridge. Not even joking.

I dont get why its funny :( ???

    • Alifre says:

It’s funny if you know the girls (which I do) and it wasn’t supposed to be creepy, it was supposed to be a joyful event.

Reminds me of “The Amityville Horror”

  9. MAC Daddy says:

See the girl in the window? Well I have captured her mind and it is inside of this cake. I will soon possess your mind as well, when the clock strikes 14. Now I want you to focus on the cake. You are feeling sleepy, and your eyelids are very, very heavy…..

  10. Pat says:

Wow, right out of an Alfred Hitchcock movie! doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo!!
    What a great warped photo!

I came. I saw. I screamed. And then I laughed so hard I almost wet my pants.

  13. freshjive says:

The girl in the window is creepy. It’s something you’d see on Ghost Hunters. Or in a horror movie.

  14. rebecca says:

We call her “Wednesday ” The Adams Family Birthday Party .. “Rain, rain, go away . Come again another day … ” My favorite part of this photo is the claw marks on the door .

  15. TJt says:

Her right hand…. it’s not real.

  16. Mark says:

“You don’t want to hurt anyone, Samara…”

  17. zukimac says:

After looking at this, I can honestly say I am now grateful for my childhood. Nothing that ever happened to me could compare to this moment that has been captured in time. YIKES!

  20. S13558 says:

It’s very reminiscent of a post-modern surrealist photo….and yes, the fingers in the frosting is a nice touch.

  21. JD says:

I like it. Immensely. Calls to mind Diane Arbus.

  22. chris gilmore says:

    LOOKS LIKE AN ARBUS PHOTO

  23. Morgan says:

God, that looks like a freaking ghost or something (can ghosts eat cake?). Thanks, I wanted to look at these pics before bed but will probably get nightmares about gravity defying cake decorations and sulky ghosts with sugar cravings.

  24. Carol says:

creepy! Whoever said this would be a good photo for a creative writing paper was right on.

  25. Flim Springfield says:

I think it’s a great emotional image. Perhaps, not the intent of the subjects, but artistic nevertheless.

  26. kayla says:

    tessa,
    really,
    are you serious.
the picture was kind of starting to freak me out!!!

  27. Shannon says:

Is that really a girl holding the cake or are they celebrating the transition to the transition?

This looks like an album cover for some mid-’90s indie band.

  31. chickmunkey says:

This is one of my very fav’s on here. There is something so right about this pic but there is something soooooooo wrong….. I agree with the Lit Teacher when she/he posted a comment about making this a good topic for creative writing class. This pic needs to go to the hall of fame of awkward here . It’s very very wrong-good

  32. Rebecca Herman says:

I believe this is my home. Where was this picture taken?

  33. Kelli says:

    There’s something wrong with Esther!

  34. Izzi says:

This is the greatest photo in the history of the world.

  35. Cincha says:

I think this is my favorite, too, and pairs well with the holiday photo in black and white with the three people and the weird shadows. I can’t find it, or I’d post the title.

This would be a great story starter for a creative writing class…I’m going to make my high school sophomore students write a story around it during the torturous month of December, when no one wants to write.
