Only one person in the picture is actually smiling (second daughter). Mom and dad have tried but only managed to turn up corners of mouths in imitation of a smile. Oldest daughter and son cannot manage it, defeated by the misery. Timmy looks stoic. He has vision.
This is what happens when the whole family is dressed up for an event and someone says “I’ve gotta get a photo!” You end up standing in awkward places in awkward groupings. Our family has one from every year when we were going to Christmas Eve service. you’d think we would have figured out how to plan ahead one year.
That’s not a pant suit – Believe it or not, we actaully wore long dresses back in the 70′s. I’m embarassed to admit i can remember the ‘maxie dress” (vs the “mini skirt”). I even had a maxie coat of orange crushed velvet. If only i could find it – i could wear it to the mall and embarass my 16 year old.

“Mom why is Jan wearing blue? I thought we all agreed we were all going to wear BROWN! Dammit Jan I hate you! You ruin everything!”

That dude in the white jacket looks kinda like George Harrison.
OMG its John Lennon. Haha lol.
I agree!
It’s half of the Brady Bunch, lol
oh wow I’m old enough to remember dressing like this. Dad’s leisure suit is fine.
“Little Timmy, yes, you were wanted. Yes, we always meant to have another child”
Photos don’t lie, Ma
The look on Little Timmy’s face, says he knows it already.
Now if Hillary had THAT pant suit she might have gotten elected.

That’s a lot of… brown?
Every woman looks better in plaid. Especially if she has a good grasp on how to apply just the right amount of blusher. Lookin’ good, Mom!
They forgot little timmy for the other end.
All I can say is “More Bars – in More Places” – AT&T Commercials…
