    Again w/ the bare feet.

    • rebelle says:

I was born and raised in Fl. We all go barefooted unless we HAVE to wear shoes and that requires a court order! Lots of people enjoy bare feet, my question is why you have a problem with it? On Key West and Cocoa Beach very few places require the patrons to wear shoes unless made to by the health department.

      • Nanner says:

Shoot, I grew up in WI and I went barefoot until there was a foot of snow on the ground (which, now that I live in WA, doesn’t really happen, so it’s flipflops year round for me. Woohoo!)

    • AuroraAma says:

LOL You Kids dont know how lucky you are- Some of you had cardboard shoes! Some of you even had 2 feet each! My 2 brothers & I had 1 count em 1 foot that we had to share to walk to 3 miles to school in 2 feet of snow up hill & WE LIKED IT THAT WAY!!!!!!

  2. Karen says:

YES! Some of my favorite people in the whole world are in this picture! :) And I always thought it was beautifully awkward.
p.s. Lyndsey looks like she has nubs for fingers.

    • wendy says:

did she lose them in a cross bow accident?

I like seeing people who know the people in the pictures

    • rifraf66 says:

Nubs for fingers…Nubs for fingers..oooooh isn’t Lyndsey the lucky one…when I was her age we didn’t even have hands

  3. Lurker says:

What is with all of the bare feet in professional photography? Do they confiscate shoes as soon as the customers walk in and hold them as collateral until they get paid?

    • Jess says:

yes. The honest answer is shoes don’t look good in photos. They look very very bulky and awkward and almost always never match the shoes everyone else is wearing. More then half of the time they are also dirty. 9 times out of 10 if a person chooses to wear their shoes for the photos they say “we should have don’t barefeet” while looking at the photos.

    • Beth says:

Because dirty shoes will filthy up backdrops.

  4. Matty says:

Grandpa? Well I know he looks kinda old but why can’t he be their dad?

  5. jeb says:

Well, primarily you get a much-wrinkled background. It must be due to the sheer force of the powerful armshelf.

  6. Kurtacus says:

“We clung to Father, who we’d raveled in seaweed and flotsam, and paddled our legs as if our lives depended on it, which they did. Eventually, we fell asleep, and when we awoke, we were washed ashore and surrounded by natives with gel and blowdryers. And that’s how we survived the downing of Los Aires, 4038.”

    • Pinky Tuscadero says:

I think you are spot on with your depiction of what happened!!! I was there! The hair and make-up people DID ambushed them upon their arrival upon the back drop! Grandpa was their life preserver !

  7. Suki says:

    Good times with grandpa.

  8. kennedy n. says:

    oy!

  9. Denise says:

Nice armshelf, excessive piling of bodies, and random bare feet. I even like the unique knuckle sandwich head support. I feel the love. But WHAT is up with that background?

    • casual friday says:

It’s supposed to be clouds, but became an editorial comment on the inevitable doom of the children who will soon be graying and wrinkling from bearing the weight of their own future generations. Poetic, huh?

  10. laurie says:

He looks pretty good for a grandpa.

    Supporting those kids like that.

  11. Jessica says:

I like how middle arm crossbow kid’s feetsie don’t quiet fit against the backdrop. Although his crowbow body armshelf is like the yugi oh of family photos!

  12. Pinky says:

    ELBOWS!

  13. Bet says:

The middle kid looks like David Archuleta.

  14. Nierla says:

Don’t cha wish your grandpa was HOT like me?

  15. Pocket Pal says:

the next grandkid has dibs on the ankles.

  16. that guy says:

    I bet its photoshoped, lol

  17. Susie says:

I would call this guy an ‘old man’.

Maybe I’m just getting old. ;0

  18. haleysmomma says:

so based on previous replies, poor nathaniel drew the short straw and got the “butt” portion of the shelf….must be that middle child syndrome rearing it’s ugly head again!!

  19. Meredith says:

“the older boy…” there is only ONE boy. oh, tomboy years. they served me well.

and no, it’s not photoshopped. we are just that awesome.

  20. KatieMB says:

Ummmm… the background is awful, there’s way too much empty space in the foreground, the pants blend in with the floor and background… but at least there’s no trees growing sideways in the pic. ;)

  21. lyndsey says:

well, there are 10 of us grandkids now… i don’t think we’d all fit on grandpa’s fabulous armshelf :)

  22. Annitspurple says:

I think that this pic is cute!

  23. SweetPetunia says:

I think it’s totally awesome that all three “kids” are on here, commenting. What year was this taken?

  24. Fred Jones says:

    Hey, it’s the leather-jacket family!

  25. springjack says:

This looks like a promo pic for a wacky ABC Family comedy starring Judd Hirsch.

  26. Stacey says:

Aren’t these the same kids from the leather coats photo????

  27. Melissa says:

He looks like my precal teacher from last year……..

  28. marie bowles says:

Deb from Napoleon Dynamite called. She wants her billowy background back.

  29. wendy says:

oops nevermind… that’s not older boys hand, that’s grandpas hand

  30. Maya B says:

Yeah, I almost thought that too before I realized whose hand it really was.

  31. MB says:

I just realized that the hand looked awkward for a little boy… :/
