They also stuffed their pockets with granola bars before going to Silver Dollar City. Their younger sibling is taking the picture and they’re sick of waiting for the kid to snap the photo, but Mom is smiling because she thinks it’s adorable.
Whoa – I think I know exactly where this photo was taken, and it’s not a vacation destination. It’s a plaza between office buildings in Bethesda, MD, where there is this crazy sculpture, a fountain, and the Original Pancake House.
Looks like every family photo my mother-in-law takes. Doesn’t matter if you want to be in the picture, if you’re horrible ill, just given birth, whatever. As long as everyone present is IN the picture, it’s a success. And she’ll take a half hour to make sure it happens.
This looks like in front of some hotel or the place they have reservations. Just got of the plane or long car trip and the hotel staff or resort people are like “WELCOME WELCOME, time for a picture” they are so tired, hungry and caught off guard – all they want to do is check in to their room.
I love the gum covered scenic background. Beauuuuu-tiful. It looks like the girl is in mid sentence…’Hurry up and get this pic so we can leave already!’ or maybe she is saying, ‘you didn’t set the camer timer rig–’ CLICK.
For people who don’t understand why this is awkward:
- Dad looks stubbornly ready to have a very organized vacation, with tripticks from AAA, guidebooks and schedules
- Mom’s going along with it
- maybe the half-smilling dude from the left is also going along with it
- but the two in the back on the right are freaked and are trying to wonder how they agreed to this in the first place and how to get out of it.
