This is my favorite of ALL!! LOL!!!! If this were my family, I’d have it blown up, professionally framed and hung over my fireplace mantle. ..with a spotlight!
Oh gosh..me too. The look on everyone face is so funny..Gramma especially. She is just trying so hard Not to laugh..you can tell she has been there & done that with her own kids before, and now here it is, a classic toddler meltdown !
I’m glad the explanation was given. I was going to comment that in my husband’s family, children are forced to sit with scary grandparents and no one seems to notice that they’re terrified. It doesn’t matter that the kid is screaming in terror and not receiving any incentive to warm up to Great-Grandma. No, the kid has been held and the photo taken, and that’s all that matters.
But maybe that’s just his family. Sounds like this family was just kids being kids.
PS. My kids are still afraid of my husband’s grandmother (the poor old lady… age hasn’t done her any favors). They’re great with mine, but she’s got the sweet look going for her and they see her more often. My Grandpa, though – he’s pretty gruff, hard to understand, and not that good looking anymore. But they’re fine with him because he was never forced on them and they got to warm up to him on their own.
PPS. I realize my PS is just as long as my original note.
hehe, this is my family, and it’s actually the last one in a series of photos. in the first photo we’re all normal, in the second one you see my nephew starting to cry and my mother dragging me back to my place (i’m the girl) because i ran off to play… that made me cry which set off a chain reaction. my granddad tried to save the day with a stuffed toy and my grandmother just gave up…
I love the look on Grandmas face! Does anyone notice how she is holding the little girl there with her elbow? Hilarious! I can actually hear this picture!
This picture perfectly captures the difference between being a parent and being a grandparent. Even when they are screaming their heads off, grandparents are just happy to be with their grandchildren. Very sweet.
The thing that struck me was that the one on Grandma’s lap in the blue pants looks perfectly content while the rest were screaming…And is he also pulling the one next to him’s ear?
Edna is thinking,,,don’t worry Hubert. These crying, ungrateful rugrats will be gone before midnight and we won’t have to do this again for at least a year.
I was wondering why the grandparents are so pleased that they could get so many children to scream. Perhaps next time they’ll get all of the grandchildren crying.

It’s a “How Many Screaming Kids Can You Fit On One Couch” contest.
RUN KIDS! RUN!
Go Speed Racer.
Do you know these people? I would love to photograph them. Seriously.
it’s me and my family but the picture was taken about seventeen years ago. all the kids are grown up and both of my grandparents have died since then.
I loved the Torchwood reference
Is it wrong that I giggle every time I look at the kid on the right?
…and guess what, kids? THEY’RE STAYING TILL NEW YEARS!!

Classic!
Oh, my, my. This phot struck me as being very candid; nobody posing(well, except the grandparents)! Au natural
I swear. The caption writer gets me every time!
This picture is 10xs more hilarious with the caption.
For sure!
Yes we all feel the same way this time of year.
holy crap that lady looks soo much like my grandma!

oh god no we weren’t scared, my grandparents were the sweetest people
we just didn’t like sitting still for a long time…
Happy Hollar Days!
I have to wonder why anyone would even take this picture. Maybe the kids will laugh about it when they get older.
1 out 3 kids not crying, that ain’t bad? Right?

thank you so much for sharing this. I laughed until tears were running down my face. Your expression is priceless!
Yes! Thank you! Your grand parents look like fun wonderful people. I truly love the look on your grandmothers face!
its such a cute and funny photo. Your grandma is so sweet looking and grandpa is just smiling. love this!!
… this is one of the best pics … EEEEVER!!!!!!! *lmao* xD
Well, at least Gramps is trying to calm the one down with a toy monkey.
I love the look on Grandmas face! Does anyone notice how she is holding the little girl there with her elbow? Hilarious! I can actually hear this picture!

The grandparents are INDEED very happy…did you notice the five empty champagne glasses with the bottle on the table to the left?
Grandma’s smiling ’cause she knows the grandkids are leaving at the end of the day!
This is why i LOVE babysitting…I always get to give em back! Lil stinkers.
I love this photo! The doll passed out on the floor is the icing on the cake for me.
I love my grandkids, but I couldn’t eat a whole one.
omg i love it !
Grandpa is looking desperately at the champagne.
The thing that struck me was that the one on Grandma’s lap in the blue pants looks perfectly content while the rest were screaming…And is he also pulling the one next to him’s ear?
I love how the kid on grandma’s lap, the only one not crying, is pulling off the ear of the other baby. This picture is AWESOME.
Grandma an Grandpa look like they are eyeing the bottle of champagne on the table, and can’t wait until this picture taking nightmare is over!!
This is what happens when the grandparents never come to visit. The kids think they’re strangers.
Not really? Kids throw tantrum all the time. Even with their own mum and dads.
The kid on Grandmom’s lap is just chilling and taking the opportunity to pick on the other. He wants the lap to himself.
Grandad’s only smiling because he’s looking at the Champagne bottle!
AND Grandpa looks like HE is scared to death. Also loving his socks!
*trying*
Grandma’s looking like the cat that swallowed the canary. She’s got a secret!
Decades later I still feel this way when I see my grandparents, but now I’m better at hiding it until I visit my therapist.
They’re coming ………. and the grandparents can’t wait for them to leave!
LMAO, did the creepy Easter Bunny come in to take the pic? I love how the one calm kid is trying to comfort the other kid. xD
Where you see comfort, I see antagonism. It looks like he’s trying to pull the other one’s face off! lol
OMG…it’s Marnie!
It is!
#3 baby on the lap is in training for evil yanking on the Cousin’s ear.
The love these kids have for their grandparents is obvious!
Edna is thinking,,,don’t worry Hubert. These crying, ungrateful rugrats will be gone before midnight and we won’t have to do this again for at least a year.
I didn’t know my grandparents so… and my kids do not have any so .. I guess we’re lucky !!
well if u said so , consider urself lucky … I know for sure I am so glad to have my grandparents,
I know I wish I had grandparents to
even if they made me scream my head off lol
Feel the love!
I love love love this photo!
me too! they smile even when the kids are screaming bloody murder – that’s love!
Yes! And that cheeky look on Grandma’s face…
Love it! Look at the look on grandmas face haha! Priceless!
I was wondering why the grandparents are so pleased that they could get so many children to scream. Perhaps next time they’ll get all of the grandchildren crying.
Absolute family picture perfection!!!!!! LOVE IT!!
the face of the little girl on the right…terror at its worst…
Do they even know these people?!
Yep, typical family holiday picture. You can never get all members of a family to be happy at one time!
I agree kids. Old people scare the crap out me too.
You’ll eat your words one day, IF you’re lucky enough to grow old.
