  2. jacque says:

At least it is in black and white. That makes anything look classy. Right?

  3. ryanboy says:

    apparently it’s a subconscious thing.

  4. Natashia says:

Not quite a heart grabbing moment…

  5. Holly says:

    Ahahaha …I love this one.

  6. Amanda says:

Why would the photographer even edit this shot???

    • ReginaPhalange says:

For laughs. If I managed to capture such a moment in time, I’d want to preserve it. Wouldn’t try to make the happy couple pay for it, but I’d definitely want to frame that baby.

  7. Cincoflex says:

There’s awkward and there’s just plain ruined. I’m sorry for the happy couple and hope they can crop the photo.

  8. Mark says:

Stop playing with the Goodfellas, junior.

  9. Cap'n Crunch says:

On second thought, the Divinyls’ “I touch Myself” was actually the perfect selection for first dance.

  10. dryoptera says:

The alternate ending of ‘The Graduate’.

  11. Romeo says:

Sometimes you just have to do it, no matter what.

  12. Ali G says:

Make sure you have everything packed before you leave for the honeymoon.

Yeah, I got your bridal party right here.

  17. lahull says:

This has got to be one of the best photos ever posted here! A lovely image of a bride and her father (?) except for….

  18. la says:

LOL how awful! needs a good cropping!

  19. Cee says:

    When you gotta scratch….

  20. VibroCount says:

“I told the tailor I dress left!”

  21. marlene says:

Omg lol… Bad timing to be adjusting the “boys”

  22. Tom Flapwell says:

I wonder if the guy on the left entered the picture just to ruin it.

  23. grannypanties says:

the crotch grabber is pretty hot!!

  24. Becky says:

I wonder why the photographer included that picture. Was it posed? Definitely awkward! :)

  25. Theresa says:

Okay…the photographer actually took the time to edit this photo with nice black and white conversion and vingetting and did NOT notice THAT!!! COME ON!!! One word..CROP!!!!!

  26. Vin says:

At first I thought “What a beautiful photo, what’s awkward about it?” and then my eyes moved over to the groom…xD

  27. Lynh says:

It would been a beautiful picture, but he had an itch that couldn’t wait…just crop him out!

  28. MyLeftNut says:

At least the father kept his hands “in” his pants!!!

  29. Now that is too funny….

    “I hid the ring somewhere….”

  30. MyMorningJoe says:

LOL of all the things to capture on film

  31. mrs5180 says:

Holy Cow!! It’s called cropping!!! …..from what I can see the photographer “burned” the edges of the photo, which is what I often do to portraits when they are cropped and ready. So I guess in his opinion, there was nothing amiss in the background :)

  32. jim says:

since the groom just lost his he was making sure it wasn’t contagious

  33. amy says:

a lot of the comments seriously show just how much some folks think they know about professional photography. this photo looks SOOC to me (bw and fake vignetting and all), and i’m also willing to bet the photo came from the photographer and not the bride. of course, if i were the bride, i would have kept it, but then i was fortunate enough to be born with a sense of humor. =]

    • AC says:

What wedding photographer shoots in those settings (b/w and vignette)?? Um, hopefully none, which shows what you know.

For everyone else who wants this cropped, the photographer clearly knew what the heck was going on in this one during post-production. He/she didn’t crop it because it is freaking hilarious! (Although I bet a cropped version was included too…)

  34. Gregorian says:

The lady’s married into a family of billiard players, it seems.

  35. binkymae says:

OK, on to the reception. After missing that practice last night I don’t feel ready for that Michael Jackson dance with all the groomsmen.

  36. Amy says:

Reminds me of my brother in law. Always fun at family gatherings!

  37. Crista says:

    Oh PDiddy!! Hahahhaha.

  38. crayola says:

Maybe the father is whispering “Did you see what the best man is doing over there?” and she’s laughing?

  39. xxx says:

This is how you ruin the shot on purpose, when your dad marries your former girlfriend.

  40. Amused says:

This picture looks staged. Either the crotch grabber did this on purpose or it was photoshopped in. By the looks of the picture I’m guessing it’s the latter. There’s no way the photographer didn’t notice that when editing it….or when taking the picture.

  41. jambi says:

You better check yourself before you wreck yourself

  42. Snobo says:

oh my! i never noticed until i started reading the comments!

  43. AwkWerrrd says:

    Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

  44. bluetutu says:

Enough with the demands for cropping! Lighten up! I’m sure the couple got hundreds of lovely pictures to choose from. This shot is soooo funny- if I were the bride, I would have it framed.

  45. Braden says:

Looks the the ring bearer is handling the family jewels also…

  46. Katie says:

Glad everyone appreciated this photo. I’m the bride and I submitted it. The guy in the background is my brother, a groomsman and it was the first time my father saw me so a very special moment. Not only did my photographer not notice it, me and my family did not notice it when we were going through the proofs and it made it into my wedding album!!!!! Awkward!

  47. Pertigal says:

I don’t think that’s the father. I think it’s a prematurely gray and very handsome groom. If I were the bride, I would have kept this and used it for blackmail for years to come! but I think it would not be in the wedding album.

  48. Dave says:

“Now first, here’s your basic shift. But that’s not always enough. Sometimes you gotta get inside, dig a little. Let some air in. Move things around” –Just One of the Guys

  49. Adrienne says:

Katie, Thanks for sharing this beautifully awkward wedding photo with us!

  50. Randy says:

You gotta keep the groomsmen and best man in line.
