What are these Sweet Adelines doing here? Of course their costumes match, they’re a quartet. I’ve been in Sweet Adelines for five years, and my mom and grandma even longer, so this doesn’t seem awkward to me, as I know that the costumes are a part of presentation and being seen easily on stage. In fact, this is probably one of the better quartet costumes I’ve seen.
love how the one on the looks like she thinks she might hit her head on the top of the photo and needed to duck. I hate when people “scrinch down” in photos because they think the fon’t fit. Usually the photographer will tell you to move, or will move the lens slightly.
anyone else thinking of the Lawrence Welk skits on SNL with the sister singing groups, where Kristen Wiig is invariably the 4th sister with some kind of horrible birth defect?
Even if they’re 4-tuplets there is no reason on God’s green earth for dressing exactly alike (even the shoes??? C’MON!!!) This is WRONG WRONG WRONG!!! . . . *collapses in a heap*
Good call! My mom used to be active in Sweet Adelines, and these types of costumes are pretty standard for women’s barbershop choruses and quartets. In fact I think these are probably some of the nicest ones I’ve seen. (Some of them can be extremely matronly, but these really aren’t bad, relatively speaking.)
Sorry, this one’s not awkward for me, except maybe for the expression of the woman on the left.
