Oh, God love ‘er. She deserves a medal! This lovely lady is my idol. You know, I do wonder what she made of having her photo taken like this when she woke.
If her babies are like mine, she won’t have 2 minutes of quiet before one or both babies crawl over and start climbing all over her. Whenever Mama’s on the floor, babies are certain that she wants to play.
Been there, done that would have bought the tshirt, but quite frankly it would just be another freakin’ thing that needs to get washed. Hey dad, put downt he camera and wash soemthing!
Their escape from the laundry basket corral was short-lived. Mom awoke from her nap to find the twins trying to squeeze through the doggie door in the kitchen. This crawling stage was for the birds. They swore tonight would be the night they learned to “waddle” (with Dad’s help of course).
“The instant she touched the Enchanted Diaper, she fell into a deep sleep. And no one but the other mothers knew why; for they, too, had once-upon-a-time fallen under the curse of Too Much Laundry.”
I only have one kid and I can relate to this poor woman. But like other posters, I’m worried about that cord near baby no. 1. Also, I’m worried all the “clean” laundry will get dirty in the babies’ wake…all that work for nothing! The photographer better help out or it’s the doghouse for him!
I know the feeling! Feel like that today actually. As for the cord and baby level, where else would you plug it in? Every house I’ve ever seen has outlets at “baby level.”
Dang, that mom is cranked. Bless the hearts of all mothers. Hope that electrical cord within kids reach isn’t attached to a hot iron. This is sadly funny…
Oh, that poor girl! I feel so sorry for her. I have felt just like that myself, and I didn’t have twins! I sure hope the person who took that picture put the camera down, put her to bed, folded the laundry and watched the babies while she slept!
Two immediate thoughts.
1. I hope that’s the clean laundry she’s reclining on.
and
2. Sleep! Sleep now! Dad (or whoever has the camera) can take care of the twins!
As a mom of four I can attest that the laundry NEVER ends…and you need a nap from time to time! Came to the conclusion that the only way laundry would ever be “DONE” would be if the entire family were to be naked…not gonna happen

The only reason she can sleep is because her twins are not screaming. Like mine are.

Hee hee. Totally.
Instead of taking pictures, maybe Dad should do some frickin laundry!

Rest assured. The cord looks like it’s for a window air conditioner in an apartment or something.
I also hope that the cloth diapers were for burp rags and not bums. Twins make twice the diaper mess!
All I thought at first was, “yup, that about sums it up!”
I love this picture and like most moms, I totally relate.

I could have taken this photo 5 minutes ago!
It’s only awkward to those with no kids lol I have done this and can relate!! lol
I know the feeling! Feel like that today actually. As for the cord and baby level, where else would you plug it in? Every house I’ve ever seen has outlets at “baby level.”
I’ve been that kid and I’ve been that mom…..
This is disturbing.
This picture is great! I had days like this when my kids were that age.
Welcome to my World!! Oh, I totally know this feeling!
Dang, that mom is cranked. Bless the hearts of all mothers. Hope that electrical cord within kids reach isn’t attached to a hot iron. This is sadly funny…
that’s a lot of cloth diapers to fold!
Poor thing! I just want to cover her with a blanket and call in a babysitter/laundry maid!
I hate that the cord is hanging at baby level.
Oh, that poor girl! I feel so sorry for her. I have felt just like that myself, and I didn’t have twins! I sure hope the person who took that picture put the camera down, put her to bed, folded the laundry and watched the babies while she slept!
I can sooo relate to her!
Woah. Total choking/fire hazard going on.
Cute. That is a total “mom” thing to say. Notice how everyone who has commented (myself included) are all moms as well. LOL.
What is really awkward is that there is another adult in the house taking a photo instead of helping the poor woman! She has my sympathy.
I really hope the photog helped out after. Or at least gave her a blanket…
I wouldn’t call this awkward so much as “realistic”.
Oh, how well I know that feeling!!!
I would be a little concerned about the cord plugged in at baby level.
yes, I was thinking the same thing.
I am certain that just out of frame, there is a gigantic 400 lb television precariously teetering on a tray table.
Ditto that.
I’ve had days like this. Tell the photographer to put down the frigging camera and help with the laundry.
Nothing awkward about that! Just cold, hard reality….
Now THIS is the kind of photo that should be sent out with the Xmas cards, not the formal studio portrait.
Totally agree! I would love to send/get this as a Christmas card!
lol, yes!
agreed!
totally agree!
Yeah, that’s about how I’d feel too!
Reality! Not awkward!
I have 3 and I can’t tell you all how true this is…. Poor momma!
Child at the back :I TOLD her not to touch that dangerous-looking electric cable ……
haha!
Twins…..
OMG – Poor woman. As a mum of 3 kids within 17 months, I can completely empathise.
That’s not awkward at all. I’ve sooo been there, esp. when mine were little. Every mother can relate to this picture.
I have been there too many times!
Two immediate thoughts.
1. I hope that’s the clean laundry she’s reclining on.
and
2. Sleep! Sleep now! Dad (or whoever has the camera) can take care of the twins!
Well yeah! Doing laundry and taking care of twins will get you tired. She’s even doing washable diapers, good for her.
That’s not awkward, that’s just a very tired mom. A well-deserved nap!
Nothing awkward about it. I’ve had days like that without kids. Mother just needs a nap.
I’m sure that there are lots of Mom’s who have felt like this! Laundry, kids …. I need a nap!
I know exactly how she feels
As a mom of four I can attest that the laundry NEVER ends…and you need a nap from time to time! Came to the conclusion that the only way laundry would ever be “DONE” would be if the entire family were to be naked…not gonna happen
Now we know what is happening in the next day’s photo (Mirror, mirror 2) she just got sick of laundry!
Ha!!
I’m just sorry there are no pictures of me in this predicament!!
Awkward, perhaps, but twin babies? Can certainly understand the need for the nap!
Just how is this awkward? I can totally relate!
Not awkward. Awesome and oh, so true!
