  3. Jimbo says:

Little Hannibal had always been thought of as somewhat of a loner, but normal……until that Christmas when one of his boxes fell over, spilling out the source of that odd smell emanating from his closet.

  4. Della says:

besides the obvious trauma, isn’t his shoes really, really big?

  5. akqzall says:

Speaking as a younger sibling…I think we’ve all had moments like this! ;-)

  6. AndrewT says:

“No, Johnny, that’s NOT what ‘kick-boxing’ means!”

  7. Becky says:

    That kid has man feet!

  8. mimi221 says:

Somehow this picture keeps drawing me back day after day.

  9. Teresa says:

This is one photo that probably has a cute story to go with it. I would love to hear all the stories a few days after comments are posted. That would be fun and we would come back more often.

  10. Ducky says:

I love how he has this look like “If I smile cute maybe no one will miss her…” And how he didn’t quite make it back to the chair. He so cute, I want to just cuddle him!

  11. StefanieW says:

Why is there a kid in a box in the first place? Why is no one else asking this question?

  12. Matti says:

I would have used that as my christmas card for sure.

  13. Rosieposie says:

“trade ya chairs sis, yeah you come sit on this cool box, yeah right there. ahhh.. comfy, take the pic now”

  14. Kendra says:

This might be my favoritw AFP of all time…

  15. Tom T. says:

“Honey, I guess I wasn’t clear. For Christmas I wanted Webster *on DVD*!”

  16. Katie says:

Mooooom! I wanted a JACK IN THE BOX! Baby sis in the box is NOT the same thing!

  17. Mrs Alda says:

This is one of those photos you see on Law & Order SVU. (“Foster kid ? What foster kid ?…Okay, we had a foster kid, but she, uh, ran away and never came back. Um, when ? Christmas. Why do you ask ?”

  18. Redjag says:

You guys realize that the title and caption is not referencing what really happened. otherwise , I think they would’ve used a different title.

  19. Kitten K. Boodle says:

Darien was disappointed with his Christmas gift that year, but he covered it well.

  20. Caivan says:

Ever since that one Christmas, Mrs Simpson knew that her little boy Orenthal James was going to be infamous someday

  21. Annie says:

The 2nd kid might’ve been a nice surprise for YOU, but I feel differently.

  22. Smartazz says:

I hope they have a receipt for that baby…If that arm is broken, they will have a hard time returning it to Walmart !!!

  23. NKL says:

“Yeah, that goes in the returns pile. I’m sure. Didn’t ask for it and certainly don’t need it. And, it’s broken. Makes a weird noise and leaks at both ends.”

  24. Moogie says:

My first thought was that he was dressed like a mini magician and had just done a magic act for his family but his disappearing assistant goofed up and gave away his secret. Cute kid!

  25. cat says:

Yeah, I’m not so sure that box just fell over…his foot is right where it should have been :)

  26. Leelz says:

Hahaha it took me a minute to notice as well. The best part for me isn’t the kid who quite possibly kicked it over, it’s the person who didn’t bother to help the arm (child) and continued taking a pleasant picture of the other kid

    • amy says:

Okay this stuff drives me nuts. “kept takinng a picture” – wha? How long does it take you to push the shutter button? Less than a second. These things happen quickly. It’s a rare, beautful opportunity moment of reality. Kids fall down, big woop.

  27. LIsa says:

At first I thought, “Oh that’s a doll’s arm!”….but just for the sake of argument (and we ALL know how much everyone likes to argue on this site!!)….I zoomed this puppy in as far as I could to take a look, and you know……not 100% sure! Ha! It still looks like a doll whose arms are stitched on under the shoulder, not to mention a bit stiff! It does look however, like the little boy might just have “accidentally” -ha!-toed the box over, hence the slipping down in his chair, devil-may-care merriment in his eyes!! I bet there’s never a dull moment at his house!! :D

  28. judy Crawford says:

does anybody else see the SIZE of the kids feet? Oh My Gosh!

  29. Doug Flaig says:

I hope this family has this picture up on their walls. This is so much better than the photo they intended. I love this.

  30. d3funct says:

Must be Boxing Day! Everyone celebrate!

  31. Anne says:

He looks very proud, as though he “accidently” kicked the box over.

  32. LKT says:

Did he just kick his baby sister in a box over? And soooo proud of himself too! Bahahahaha!!!

  33. Lori says:

Judging by the look on his face, I think how ever it happened, it was his fault :)

  34. Megan says:

It looks like they had a baby in the giftbox and it fell over

  35. Alyce says:

The young man sitting in the chair, his shoes look so large. The poor kid that was sitting in the box, he/she will have a hard time living this down everytime the picture is brought out; it would make a great conversation piece if framed and hung on a wall.

  36. Andrea says:

Not sure which of the two looks more uncomfortable..

  37. Alisha says:

HAHAHAHAHA!!! I kept looking and looking, thinking “that’s not awkward, he’s too cute…wait, is that an arm?” Omg I cannot stop laughing!

  38. Erin says:

The way he’s leaning, looks like he’s the bugger who kicked the box over! “Take That”, Sibling Rivalry!

  39. Freon75 says:

Whats with the arm in the background?

  40. Sophie says:

Oh, that’s the unfortunate. Der. Too subtle for me first thing in the morning, I guess.

  41. I hope that arm belongs to a doll.

  42. Tara says:

Love it! Portrait Innovations. :) I love the surprise of looking and thinking “what? He’s relaxed” and then you notice the arm!

  43. Spork says:

What I want to know is what’s with the weird baby arm?

  44. Shirley says:

I love this picture! It tells a story :)

  45. Cara says:

It took me a couple seconds to figure out what was going on, but when I did I couldn’t stop laughing :)

  46. steph says:

she has fallen and can’t get up

  47. Stacey says:

    OMG that is hilarious!!

  48. SusanR says:

And he could not be happier.

  49. TheQ47 says:

Is that a small child in the box on the floor? It certainly looks like it, as if the box toppled over, and the kid sitting in the chair doesn’t care!
    Hilarious.
