Spreading the Awkwardness
My son has seen this very Santa every Christmas since he was born, as have my niece and nephew. Until they started taking reservations the last few years we normally waited in line every year 2-3 hours to see him (at The Mall of America in the Twin Cities), and it was worth every minute. He normally spends easily 3 to 4 minutes with evey set of kids.
In our family, he’s considered THE Santa Claus! I know this site is all about fun, but I love that guy!
And it doesn’t apply in this case, but a lot of times he’ll lay on the floor with kids that are scared of him. He’ll go around the corner so the kid(s) can’t see him and they get them set up in the chair. Then they distract them and he sneaks on the floor in front of them. Before the kid knows what’s going on, they have a picture of them with Santa without the screaming. Unless one of these ladies was scared…
My neighbors see this Santa every Christmas as well; I always look forward to getting their Christmas cards!
After watching Big Love for so long Santa decided he wanted to jump on the bandwagon. Meet Mrs. Clause 2.

Okay, so now I’m curious about fanny packs … doesn’t it show an awkard bulge if you wear it under a sweater? Also, what if your sweater is tucked in? And should it be worn on the hip or over the abdomen?

That’s SID. Santa in Disguise. The one and only santa at the mall of america in mn. My wife, daughter and dogs have been seeing him for 10 years now. he is awesome.

Oh come on! The fanny pack makes the picture. Imagine how less terrible it would be if it wasn’t there. You’d be sitting at your computer thinking “if only there was a fanny pack.” I’m telling you, the fanny pack adds a certain mastery to the photo. Brilliant.
Really! I mean c’mon, how seriously can you possibly take anything with the word “fanny” in it’s name!
Maybe she’s British and so realises her fanny is at the front, not the rear.
