The younger daughter looks like the doll Talky Tina from the Twilight Zone episode “Living Doll” with Telly Savalas (memba!?) Even the DRESS! (“You better be nice to me”. “I don’t like you.” “I’m going to killll you!”)
I love that episode of the Twilight Zone.
This must be the long lost nephew of Barnabas Collins…. (He scares me.) And the older daughter looks ecactly like Tuesday from the Addams family – and the younger daughter looks like Talky Tina from the Twilight Zone episode “Living Doll”. (You better be niice to me! I don’t like you. I’m going to kill you..)
She DOES look like Talk Tina- that doll gave me nightmares! Because of that episode, I NEVER asked for a talking doll as a gift. All my dolls had closed eyes, that’s how scared I was of Talky Tina….
They were probably getting ready for the picture, when the photographer told them he had one shot left…………….”Oh No i accidently hit the button.”

I saw halloween decorations that when you move the picture it shows a skeleton/vampires underneath. This photo would be perfect for that.

I really want to, but I don’t get it.
They say CHEESE to the camera man to make it look like they are smiling. You know, “SAY: CHEESE!!!” Apparantly, they are allergic to cheese and are angry and depressed when the photog brings up cheese, and they are so upset they cannot enjoy the gooey-gooness of cheese they look like that.
Or it could be a reference to how this Debbie Downer family is “allergic” to smiling.

Around 150 years ago people would rarely have photos taken but sometimes would when a family member died. They would include the family member. As often the pose would be long and the camera technology was fairly poor the the pics would sometimes have a blurry effect as the family members couldn’t help but move a little during the pose. All except the dead one, they’d be clear as a bell (as they obviously didn’t move).
That gruesome bit of knowledge is the first thing I thought of when I saw this photo.
Did they ever take photos of entire dead families, like this one???
