She’s a cutie pie! I, too have the exact same photograph from the mid to late 80s. I also wore those awful HUGE glasses that made my eyes look a zillion times bigger than they were. It makes me bittersweet because I was teased something fierce I wish I could go back in time and give the little girl in the picture a big ol’ hug, and then give one to my own self as well.
Too cute! What a cute kid. When I was a kid back in the 80′s, I don’t know why, but I saw that picture style at friends house, and for whatever reason, I always thought only rich people could afford to have pictures like that done. So I don’t have one of myself! Now I look back at this type of picture, and am kinda glad I never got one! HAHA! Guess it was the ‘IN’ thing to do since it was a new thing. Either way, what a cute kid. =-)
If I could go back in time and eliminate certain fashion trends from history, one of them would be those horrible, gigantic coke bottle glasses all children of the 70s and 80s were forced to wear. You can see she is a beautiful child under those awful lenses!
A child that age can’t wear contact lenses, though. And she’s obviously far-sighted, which is what makes her eyes look so huge. Even under smaller lenses, this type of a correction would still make the eyes appear extra large, just as eyes under strong corrections for near-sightedness make the eyes appear much too small.
Oh I realize the lenses were what was needed for her and what we had available at the time. I’m just thinking that the frames are smaller and more kid friendly today. They were so heavy too because they used glass instead of plastic like today. Oh, I remember those days well, and not fondly!
Aw, she looks like the girl version of little Ralphie from A Christmas Story! Very cute…but I’m really glad that whole “double image” portrait trend went out of style! When I was a kid, our school pictures were like that for a couple years and it always looked awkward.

If my youngest was born in the 70s, this would be her.
I have the EXACT same photo of myself!!!
She looks both cute and devious at the same time. Adorable! She also looks like a real Cabbage Patch doll! WIN
haha. she was to good to look at the camera!
I’m Talky Tina, and I don’t like you.
HAHA FTW!
I haven’t seen the episode in years, but can still “hear” it in my head. So much for sweet dreams tonight….
Little Susie told everyone she had multiple personality disorder, now she has the proof!

Who ARE you people?
This Awkward Family Photos, not Progressive Optometry Weekly.
She’s as cute as can be… but I have to say my first thought was of the “minions” from “Despicable Me”
She’s adorable! She reminds me of the Tootsie Pop owl
I keep seeing Angelica from Rug Rats.
anyone remember the Mrs Beasley doll with glasses?
Oh gosh, yes! That was the creepiest doll on the planet. Dolls are supposed to be babies, not old ladies.
Movie poster for the remake of “Village of the Damned”
bahahahaha!
She’s a bit of a close talker!
WIN!!!!
great!
Especially with the top photo, she looks like a real-life Cabbage Patch Kid! Wow.
That’s exactly what I said!
She’s adorable!
Look at those cute freckles ; what an adorable child.
Love the Sally Jessie Raphael glasses!! Gotta be late 80′s…
SJR… ha-ha!!!

I’m so glad someone else saw Ralphie, too!
Yep, I saw Ralphie too…..
LOVE the glasses. Really!
Some days it was hard to tell which twin was the evil one.
LOLOL!
Ha ha ha!!! Yes!!!
Funny!!
Win!
She’s my invisible friend Charisse. Sometime she whispers to me and tells me what to do. Like when I put super glue on Billy’s lunchbox handle.
Shes a cutie. I cant even make fun of this
I thought so too!
