Not awkward at all. My brother would have been dressed like this posing for this pic if he had all that stuff. He was a Nintendo freak by the age of 3.
Nice display! It looks like Michael threw away the game boxes though, I don’t see any in the picture. Michael, do you still have this stuff or still play any video games?
well it is cool, but he wouldnt be a MILLIONAIRE i can find all that stuff at my flea market, those magazines are about 2 or 3 bucks a piece, that lunchbox and thermos about 40 bucks, trash can 30 bucks, those games 10-15 dollars a piece, an old nintendo about 60 dollars, maybe a hundrednaire but not a millionaire
My son would have been in Heaven! Just like someone earlier said this stuff would be worth some money now seeing as this is original stuff as opposed to what we have now. My son LOVES anything Mario and Luigi.
Ha ha ha, for a split second I thought you were being sarcastic and talking about the generic white plastic garbage can right behind the kid. Then I saw the metal can.
OMG! I was thinking this looks just like my cousin Michael and then what do you know it was submitted by Michael (not the same one but made me smile!) Game on!!
Reminds me of my oldest nephew, except all he got was an Atari system and a couple of games. Anyway this kid looks like my oldest nephew (before the days of Super Mario).

The Nintendo Sleeping Bag is a hot call. Had that. Aw snap, back left corner, the Play-A-Tune Piano book. #clutch

Hey, where’d you guys find this picture of me as a kid?!
Ha, pfffffffft, I wish…
This is not so much awkwardness as it is awesomeness.
That kid is lucky! Back then, that was a ton of swag!
looks like the bedroom of me and everyone i knew at that age, although i’m more of a mega man kind of guy.
The reason little Mikey is too scared to go outside
More like “life before 1990″

I kindof wish we could go back to the a b select start days when simple games like zelda and contra ruled the Land
What a cool kid.

Dude, if this kid still has half this stuff, he could probably sell it and be a millionaire. There are some treasures in that pile.
wait a minute…….WHERE IS THE CEREAL?!?
Nintendo
its for breakfast now
Nintendo
It’s a cereal WOW!
HMMMM. What’s that strange knobby looking thing on the upper right hand side of the TV? And what’s that odd device and all those boxes underneath it?
The dial to change the channels on the TV and a VCR with VHS tapes next to it. They aren’t that archaic dude.
I think snowrider was being sarcastic.
OMG this thread is too funny!
Are you kidding me? This is life AFTER puberty for most men I know!!
you hang out with some unusual gentlemen
None of the men I know.
I know the men you are talking about…I know them well!
As a mid-twenties female game designer, I take offense to that statement.
My son would have been in Heaven! Just like someone earlier said this stuff would be worth some money now seeing as this is original stuff as opposed to what we have now. My son LOVES anything Mario and Luigi.
I am so jealous. Hell, it’s still one of my favorite games of all time [original Mario]!
There is nothing awkward about this: Only AWESOME.
That would be worth a lot of money if he still has all of it.
I MEAN… trading memories for money is wrong.
what a waste of money.
Not to him.
I have an extreme case of jealousy right now. xD
He’sa so proud ofa his collection…atsa my boy!!
OMG, those ears! He’s so adorable!
i think in future he will discoverd a new game by combining alll these games
Great picture to bring out at family reunions.
oh my god, i had that exact garbage can in my bedroom for like 15 years. loooooove!
Ha ha ha, for a split second I thought you were being sarcastic and talking about the generic white plastic garbage can right behind the kid. Then I saw the metal can.
My ten year-old self is completely jealous at the haul. My thirty-seven year old self is …still pretty jealous at that sweet haul.
Right! He must have been the coolest kid on the block.
Thermos for the win.
OMG! I was thinking this looks just like my cousin Michael and then what do you know it was submitted by Michael (not the same one but made me smile!) Game on!!
Best Christmas ever… till that gorilla started throwing barrels…
His brother Luigi go jack and squat,
Mario looks a lot younger without the Freddie Mercury mustache.
Bet this was a setup to try to get into Nintendo Power.
you know whats up
Gosh, that kid got a lot of crap for Christmas!
Reminds me of my oldest nephew, except all he got was an Atari system and a couple of games. Anyway this kid looks like my oldest nephew (before the days of Super Mario).
I think the only thing really awkward is that he didn’t go the whole nine yards and give himself a fake mustache. Otherwise … this is my childhood.
hahahaha! I could totally see him in a fake mustache!
I agree
I love Super Mario!!
I would love to see a post-puberty picture.
No, don’t even go there. I’m about to dump some bleach on that visual.
somebody had a really good Christmas.
