Mein Hut, der hat drei Ecken!
Oy…is there any girl who grew up in the 70s and didn’t at some point get the Dorothy Hamill haircut? I think this is a beautiful example!
Looking at this picture brings up that song that goes ‘girls and guys and yellow butterflies’ in my head. Must be an era-association thing.
Oh! How I loved that haircut…how I loved that time… Bring it all back!
Yep, that’s the Dorothy Hamill. I had that haircut too! (though I never saw it from this angle before…)
Thanks to getting this same unfortunate hair cut back when I started Junior High, I have never let anyone cut my hair short again! That was 30 years ago! It took forever to grow it back out!
I have a pixie cut, and thankfully, I love it enough that I’m not ready to grow it out anytime soon (because I know that when I do, I will get disgusted and cut it all off again!).
My sister and I had the same haircut and we hated it! My sister insisted that she looked like a “darn mushroom!”
That girl’s head is like Sputnik. Spherical but quite pointy at parts.
No, No…more like an Apollo re-entry vehicle.
Hopefully she didn’t cry herself to sleep on her huge pillow
despite the strange shape of the little girl’s hairdo, it’s a gorgeous photo and I love their outfits
Wow, I have never seen a haircut like that before. You normally expect to see somethign this odd on a catwalk, not a sweet little girl.
I wanted this haircut so badly back in the day!
Just ask for the Dorothy Hamill Deluxe.
It’s a Dorothy Hamil. It was especially great for little girls.
As opposed to what?
As opposed to long hair kept back in braids or a ponytail, or feathered like your older sister.
Aww, I think the photo and the girl happen to be very cute. <3
Those two are cute as can be!
