Mistake On The Lake

“We shelled out to stay at this lovely lakeside resort in McCall, Idaho. The hope was to capture a scenic and memorable photo in front of the lake for our annual holiday/Christmas card. ‘Memorable’ is what we ended up with, as the ‘twouchebag’ (I say that in the most loving way) had a full on meltdown because his (a-hole) parents dared to suggest he recite a standard, ‘cheeeeeeze’ for the photo opp.”

Sports Illustrated

“Family photo circa 1993. My mother spared no expense on her new track suit. Funny thing is, we all hate sports.”

Mailing It In

“Me with my husband and two daughters in our 1990 Christmas photo when I thought matching postage stamp tees and stone washed jeans was a good look.”

Dapper In Denim

“A glorious photo of my partner and his family in 2002 at a church in Gurnee, IL. The reason why all are wearing denim seems to be lost to time.”

On The Fence

“Summer 1992 when I was 8 years old, we were on a family road trip from Ohio to Washington D.C. I didn’t want to go to any historical landmarks.”

Clown Clan

“This family photo was from around 1980 and I am on the lower left. When I was a child my mother started clowning and we became a professional clown family. We went to hospitals, parades, birthdays, school carnivals, and even began a clown society that outlasted our participation in it. We actually have an entire exhibit dedicated to us at the Museum or Whimsy in Astoria, OR.”

This Is Really Happening

“We had just had our daughter two days ago. Nothing says ‘omg what have we done?’ as much as this picture.”
