School Photos
Totally 80’s
“I love this photo because there was no doubt in my mind that I looked absolutely awesome that day. This was my favorite look and I rocked it with zero shame. Incidentally, it would be years before a boy actually liked me, but I was too cool to care.”

Permfection
“This is me. What in the world my mom was thinking when she did this to me, I cannot say. Between the homespun clothes and the perm gone wrong, I never had a chance.”

Keep Your Eye On The Ball
“My brother threw a ball at my eye when I was 10 years old and it was picture day two weeks later. My eye stayed like this for 4 years. I was also in Special Ed at the time. I think this is why I became a stand-up comic.”

Dad Hair Day

You Better Smile
“My son wouldn’t smile for a camera. So on this picture day, as I took him to preschool, I told him he’d better smile for the camera. When I came to pick up the photos, the teacher pulled me aside and said that the photographer was in tears, and this was the best he could do. At first, I was a little mad that my son couldn’t pull out a real smile, but it’s quickly become my most cherished photo.'”

Merry Christmas, Mom
“My daughter made this at school for me. I believe that the teacher made an epic fail when telling my daughter what words to hold up for the photo.”

When You Can’t Have A Retake

Me And My Tooth
“My second grade picture. Yes, that is a tooth. Yes, that collar is flight-worthy.”

No, It’s Not A Wig
“This is what happens when your mother chops off your beautiful, long, thick, Crystal-Gayle-length hair the day before school photos in Grade 2. And check out the glasses. Didn’t realize I was cross eyed until this picture surfaced 33 years later.”
