Babies

The Resistance

“This is a picture of my son when he was two. We could not get him to sit or stand still. He finally bent over the prop and this was as still as he got.”

Thirtysomething

“I don’t know what’s more awkward–how much I look like a boy, my Mom’s giant glasses, or Dad’s hideous sweater.”

Smashing Pumpkins

“We were taking some shots in the pumpkin patch and trying to get the baby to stop crying. His sister was sitting behind him and decided she wanted to play with a small pumpkin. She was about a foot behind his head but it ended up looking like she was the cause of his discomfort!”

Reindeer Games

“I had this same type of photo taken of all three of my kids but when I pulled out the reindeer antlers for my last child, the photographer that I had used for 15 years said ‘Oh please, No. I’m going to have to call Social Services.'”

Eyes Up Here

“My sisters and I thought it would be a nice Christmas present for our parents if we had a professional portrait taken of all our families. But the children were too young, and there were too many of them to get them all to look at the camera (much less smile) at the same time. The adults turned out good though.”

Shock And Awe

“I told my 2 year old daughter to smile and this is the face she gave me. Luckily at the same time the baby decided to put a look of horror on her face too. I just couldn’t stop laughing when I saw the image I had captured.”

Bikini Babe

“This is a photo of me when I was 3-4 months old. My mom had gestational diabetes so I was a tad larger than average at birth (the doctor told my mom, ‘She looks like she’s ready to start 2nd grade!’) Almost 30 years later this is still the only bikini I’ve ever worn. Can you blame me?”

Pass Fail

“Here are some photos on my son and myself. This is a set of pictures taken in a photo booth at Lambeth North Underground Station. I was trying to get a photo of my son for his first passport. After carefully reading the instructions on the application form, I decided that none of these fullfilled the strict criteria required by the UK Passport Agency.”

Roll Play

“My mom sent this to my dad who was in the military at the time and hadn’t met me yet. Thanks mom.”
