“If it weren’t for ‘vigilant’ mothering and quick intervention, I could have been trampled by a herd of goats when I was 4 yrs old. I can’t imagine the impact that such a scene would have had on my equally tender and dutiful sister, who perpetually wore her school gym uniform outside of class.”

Headstrong
“This is a photo of my daughter Kate holding Petunia with a hamster ball stuck on her head. My daughter got ths cute hamster as a birthday present. It came with a cage, food, water bottle etc, and this ball. We put the hamster in it to use it then we washed it and put it away. It must have dropped on the ground because the next thing I hear is something hitting the walls of our hall. There is Petunia with her head jammed in the ball wildly running around trying to get it off. It had the hamster’s smell still in it and she is one curious pug…Thank God the thing had air holes!”
