Treebeard

“This tree in my sisters engagement photo is the creepiest thing I’ve ever seen.”

Dear Mom

“My niece wrote this card for her Mom. She wins.”

Maroon 5

“My mother must have ransacked the Sears catalog to purchase these Sears Tuffskins maroon denim outfits (with white top-stitching) for all five of us kids. She got matching outfits for herself and Dad, who aren’t in the photo. Then we all went to Six Flags Over Georgia, where we were mistaken for – on multiple occasions – either a gospel group or a a country music band. As the eldest child (12) and only girl…I was completely mortified and spent most of the day dragging 20 feet behind my family. Flash forward 44 years and it is now my brothers’ and my most ‘precious’ (and totally hilarious) memory! Embrace the awkward!”

The Re-makeover

“When I was little my older sister decided to give me a ‘makeover’, complete with blue eyeshadow and teeny tiny pigtails! Nearly 15 years later it happened once again.”

The Lean Away

“My cousin was married in June and all the requisite wedding photos were taken. Here the bride and groom had been taking picture after picture (after picture) of themselves kissing, and the bride’s little sister got grossed out. Later my uncle posted on Facebook how hilarious this picture was, as it truly captured the little sister’s feelings!”

The Goose

“These are my husband and his siblings. His sister in pink just goosed my husband. The look on his face is hilarious. His sister on the other end…I’m not sure why she has that look. LOL.”

The Bends

“I was taking pictures of my sister and her new baby at the beach and caught this cute moment between them. Or so I thought. Then I noticed the two people bending over with their butts in the air right between my sister’s and her baby’s faces.”

Sheet Chic

“The three oldest Chewning children have always been eccentric. One of their favorite hobbies was to wear blankets and sheets in an artist manner. The original photo captures perfectly the personality of each individual. After reuniting over the holidays, they realized that no one really ever changed.”

Portrait Of Despair

“My brother’s family. Only Mom could keep it together. The kids are grown now but I can still see the same personalities in them today!  I love to look back at it when I need a laugh.  Even the kids friends love it and tease them relentlessly!  Thanks heavens they don’t have a copy of my family portrait.  LOL.”
