Dust In The Wind
“My sister and brother-in-law wanted to snap a cute picture for their baby reveal by blowing chalk dust of the appropriate gender color.”

Spy Kid
“I was trying to take a photo of my parents because my Dad was acting goofy. It wasn’t until i uploaded the pictures to the computer that i saw my daughter was standing behind the tree in the background.”

Ageless Wonder
“Top shot is from 20 years ago, bottom one is from today. It’s safe to say my Mom is a vampire.”

Yappy Holidays
“We were taking our family Christmas photo, and let’s just say the dogs weren’t in a Holly Jolly mood. This photo was the worst of the batch, but now it’s a conversation starter. We keep it right by the entrance of our home here in St. Louis.”

The Drowsy Kindergartener
“These are my son’s original kindergarten photo and the retake. Somehow the retake was worse.”

Balloon Face
“We’d just finished having fun at a church supper and went out to the playground. My daughter had had enough, but at least my wife and son were still willing to smile. I ended up behind the balloon and an awkward family photo was born!”

Jello Down the Back?
“This is my son and my Dad, taken at a restaurant where we were celebrating my Dad’s birthday. I have absolutely no idea what happened here to cause my dad to make that face. Speculations have included jello down the back of the shirt, Julian standing on Dad’s foot, or possibly some sort of horrific wedgie incident. Anyway, it’s been a family favorite for years.”

Camera Shy
“My son, daughter, and I went to a community day event in Jamestown, Virginia, where we won this gift basket in a raffle. The organizers wanted to take some publicity pics with us, and of course my daughter was being a stinker and threw a fit. Only my son and I sat for them. Years later I was clearing out my email inbox when I rediscovered this gem. Kids can be so creepy!”

Third Arm
“Here I thought, ‘What a great head shot of my son,’ but then I realized he has a third arm growing from his shoulder, thanks to his sister.”
